I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

This is definitely a fun spin-off to the classic Hanna Barbera cartoon, The Flintstones. It holds up well throughout the times, with its humorous characters, amusing stories, and fun adventures that would delight an audience of all ages.Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, Fred, Barney, Wilma, and Betty were all memorable characters that will be recognized everywhere and it's a show that will have iconic status for generations to come. It's fun seeing Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm all grown up and off to their own adventures!Grade B+

Pebbles and Bamm Bamm was just an awful cartoon. It ruins the original Flintstones show since it was a spin-off of the original. The pair get a lower rating in my book than the Great Gazoo. And we never found out whatever became of the Gazoo, since the Flintstones was canceled in 1966, and he never showed up in any of the spin-offs.If you thought Pebbles Flintstone wore hardly anything on the show, just look at Cindy Curbstone, Pebbles' rival. She wore even LESS than what Pebbles wore! I thought Cindy was too pornographic looking to be in a kids' show. She looked like Marilyn Monroe in 1962. And if I remember right, there was one episode where you could see a small chunk of Cindy's nude ass while she was taking a ridiculous picture of Pebbles sitting in a pool of water. Cindy reminds me too much of Little Annie Fannie in Playboy. And you'd think the censors would allow Pebbles or Cindy to get away with wearing so little? HOW ABSURD! THIS IS A Saturday MORNING CARTOON, GEARED FOR THE KIDS! And Bamm Bamm? On the original Flintstones, he's the strongest boy in the world. But on Pebbles and Bamm Bamm, he's letting a zoo animal to stand on him, and he can't even get it off of him! AGAIN, HOW ABSURD! All in all, Pebbles and Bamm Bamm was so bad!

35 years on, I can honestly say the only appeal to this show is Sally STruthers as the voice of Pebbles and Jay North as Bamm Bamm. It just makes for a fitting combination.Strangely enough, the show doesn't have any hippie feel to it; it is more American Graffiti (which didn't come about until two years later), with hamburger joint hangouts and hot-rod races.Odd that the cartoon wasn't considered a clone of Scooby Doo, with Pebbles (Daphne Blake), Bamm Bamm (Freddie Jones) and Penny (Velma Dinkle). The big gripe at the time was that it had only been five or six years since The Flintstones went off the air, so how did Pebbles and Bamm Bamm age so quickly, but then Lisa Hartman became Tabitha Stephens in less than ten years after Bewitched went off the air. Don't think she was the right age either. But never mind. 35 years on. My, my.I still recall so many adventures, and clearly some of them were from these future Pebbles and Bamm Bamm - Flintstone hours or whatever they were.Having recorded several of them off of Cartoon Network, two that always stood out for being good or bad, were Pebbles thinking that Mrs. Creeply had taken Wilma's birthday present.Love those cuh-RAZY disguises. Barney, what is wrong with this younger generation! And "Golden Voice" where Bamm Bamm can sing (?) but only when he is in the show, then he keeps getting medinical cures and repeats himself or talks like he has a frog in his voice, or has been inhaling helium.LIke all those Scooby Doo clones (Speed Buggy, Captain Caveman, Josie and the Pussycats, Funky Phantom, etc.), if you just can't get enough of the Flintstones from their six year primetime run, then venture toward these efforts."You'll see Fred and Barney too, yabba dabba doo, on the Pebbles and Bamm Bamm show!"

I was just a baby when this show came out, so I didn't see it until Cartoon Express played it about 15 years ago or something. I love this show! I especially like the songs. I like the sort of "innocence" of it. Besides, I always had a crush on Jay North, from watching Dennis the Menace re-runs. I haven't had cable for a while now, so I don't even know if it's on anymore, but if it is on, and I had a chance to see it, I could never get tired of it. They need to have more innocent shows like this. I loathe all the new cartoons they have out today. They just aren't the same. The Flinstone's Comedy show also has Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as older teens, and it's also an excellent show. These are the shows I would like for my kids to see if I ever have any.
