Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

The 80's was rated for the creativity and focus of the cartoons during that decade but I remember this from 1993 when this return for a short period on the BBC. It was an awful show. It was an insult to the fans of the original Flintstones. I couldn't believe some people on this forum is looking back on this show with fond memories. Just proves that some people just like anything from the past, even if something as crap as "Hatty Town". The animation stank, the high pitched voices annoyed and there wasn't a slightest any sign of creativity in the show. They were just jumping on the bandwagon of the mid/late 1980's cartoon industry fad of "turning major cartoons stars into younger versions of themselves" like "Tiny Toon Adventures", "Gadget Boy and Heather", "A Pup named Scooby Doo" and "Jungle Cubs" (other shows that were also a complete waste of time) and that terrible show that started it all "Muppet Babies", DAMN!. We still getting this kind of bloody crap today! Along with "Baby Looney Tunes" and "Clifford's Puppy Days"! The Flintstone Kids also copied stuff from shows like that too! The jokes were stolen from other shows! This show also didn't make sense! They had Captain Caveman in it (what's he doing here? and who's his son?) and also they had puppy dog Dino (he wouldn't had been born when the Flintstones were growing up! Dogs only live for twelve to sixteen years!) WHAT IS GOING ON HERE???!!!!!! The show was a complete and utter waste of money and a total waste of everybody's time! What animators has figured out from the dawn of animation in the 1900's to even today no matter how dumb and pointless it is, as long as it's got well loved characters from a better known previous cartoon, it will still receive ratings, merchandise still will be sold and it would still make you money. I just hope the creators of this old school garbage lost a lot money producing this and never did anything again (but I doubt it very much!). My advice is: forget about this and find another pastime cartoon and go on about that if it was any better! Because I still ask "why?" 1/10 and don't go in the charity shop if you see an old video of this on the sleeves!

This was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid. I used to watch this religiously. Basically, it was a spin-off of the more superior Flintstones cartoon. In it had Fred, Barney, Wilma, Betty, friends and enemies alike as kids. Unlike the original Flintstones, this wasn't very funny. It was more a cartoon about childhood issues and growing up than it was for laughs. It also had two segments following called, "Dino's Dilemmas" and "Captain Caveman and Son."I guess this cartoon was made to get a new generation into The Flintstones, also a lot of other kids I went to school with watched this, too. Every time a spin-off cartoon comes out about the auxillary characters as kids, it always has to take place in modern day era. (i.e. Muppet Babies, Flintstone Kids, Tiny Toons Adventures, and of course the horrid Sabrina: The Animated Series.) And to me, that makes no sense at all.Watch the original Flintstones cartoon, and skip this one. Even though it was a spin off, it had no references to the original cartoon at all. I don't recall 'Rocky Ratrock' being mentioned in the Flintstones, and where was 'Joe Rockhead' in The Flintstone Kids? See what I mean? If you want to introduce your kids to the Flintstones, watch the classic cartoon, not this pointless trash. I used to love this show as a kid, but now that I'm an adult, I realize that this was just a ploy to get kids into classic shows. And of course they will probably prefer something like this to the original. Sad, isn't it?After this show was over, I began to watch the "Dennis the Menece" cartoon show.
