SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

Is there a CHANCE that we can save this show? So many other good shows like Lucifer, and Expanse have been saved by their fans, why not The Mick!? I really enjoyed this show, and the comical writing that was more high-brow than the normal FOX comedies. Someone please post a petition page, if there is one, and I'd be more than happy to sign.

Terrible, unfunny show with miscast and wasted lead actress. Hugely inappropriate for families, not nearly funny enough for adult viewing. Uncreative and predictable in its plots. I despise the creeping sexualization of children for cheap laughs--this one's even got an S&M angle. Overall message seems to be that you need to work to get rich, because they you can be a terrible person and get away with it. No thanks.

As a long-time fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I had reservations about The Mick from the beginning. The first couple episodes felt like a complete rip-off. I immediately recognized every joke that was "borrowed" from the drugs in Alba's beer (Frank put acid in Charlie's beer) to tricking the kids that they ate an owl (Frank tricking Charlie and Dee that they ate human meat). But it does grow into it's own thing and is hilarious! Mickey is not the same person as Sweet Dee, thank goodness, but there is a definite resemblance in personality. She is more caring and tenderhearted, and while I can see flickers of the rest of The Gang in the kids, they have their own personalities as well. This show proves that Kaitlin Olson can stand on her own and I'm excited to see more.

Don't get me wrong the series is good its funny and whatnot but the things that are in there that are passed off as jokes are too damn sad, I am 5 episodes in it and I feel like crying for the kid that it kills the comedy in it, I mean your are watching a kid lose his parents, get all kinds of emotional and physical torment and that's supposed to make me laugh?
