Much to my surprise, I absolutely LOVE the show. I had seen some of his British comedy acting and thought it slightly overboard, but when I watched his version of the "Late Show," I realized that he is warm, funny, and highly entertaining. His format of having two or three major guests appear together is inspired. It makes all of them look better: relaxing them so they talk freely. Most late night shows have great intros with funny routines and then fall apart as they interview guests. Mr. Corden solved that problem. Other than comedy, he entertains with music. The show is infused and heightened with his love of music. I record his show on DVR and eagerly look forward to watching it. England has lost a jewel in its entertainment crown. Thank you CBS for having the vision to hire him.

Not a fan of "The Late Late Show with James Corden." Almost feels like the network decided to give a high school drama geek who is really into musicals a late night talk show. The Carpool Karaoke seems like a cheap gimmick that is overused. The annoying and repetitive theme song was apparently composed by Reggie Watts, and the show's band. The theme song more or less repeats the show's title over and over. I thought that Reggie Watts was great on "Comedy Bang Bang," but so, so on this program. Seems like he doesn't want to upstage Corden."The Late Late Show with James Corden" is just too show tuney. It's basically one step below "The Tonight Show Starting Jimmy Fallon." When Craig Ferguson was the host it seemed far more creative in a weird and surreal way, and not in a dumbing down way."Jimmy Kimmel Live" seems to be the only decent broadcast late night talk show. Although Kimmel seems to be trying very hard to almost recreate "Late Night with David Letterman."The only real positive thing that I have to say, is that James Corden doesn't have the personality of a wet blanket like his counterpart Seth Meyers, the host of "Late Night with Seth Meyers."If you want to see an example of the lowest common denominator, watch James Corden as host of "The Late Late Show."

The Late Late Show with James Corden has zero spontaneity and is not funny at all. Exaggerated laughter from the audience on totally unfunny jokes. Embarrassingly unfunny opening monologue. This guy is so not funny! Corden himself seems likable enough and is decent in his interactions with the guests > But he's just not a funny guy.Such a horrible replacement for the funny and very spontaneous and charming Craig Ferguson! The carpool karaoke was okay... Once! The Late Late Show with James Corden is not worth watching it - definitely not.

I find this show a breath of fresh air. It's the best show on late night. I'm quite happy that CBS had the chance to follow on from Craig with another unique, intelligent and unpredictable host and that they didn't go in the direction of dumbed down TV like Jimmy Kimmel. The shows set up is that of and older British style where instead of interviewing one guest at a time, they all sit at the couch together and its a more interesting, fun discussion. James Corden is great at keeping everyone in the conversation and not leaving anyone out and sliding from one topic to the next. He's not a traditional stand up comedian so monologues aren't his thing, but he's perfectly fine at it.The houseband is great! I wish Colberts house band gelled with him like Corden's band does. The band leader is not only a talented musician but hilarious too! CARPOOL KARAOKE ANYONE! Let's face it, James Corden is great and would be a fun person who to sit at a dinner table with and just chat, which makes him the perfect television host, that you can tune in and feel like your apart of that conversation. He seems like he is just being himself and caring about the show and his guests.I love the going randomly up to people houses and asking if he can film his show there. It's just so random, and just enough of that awkward feeling that can make things absurdly funny and weirdly hilarious on accident, it just works so well. It's really quite an intelligent show. Corden is a sweet guy and all his talk about men's physique makes me thinking of Chris Farley who also used his body image in a fun comedic way.The only thing similar between Craig Ferguson And James Corden might be those UK accents, but that's about it. Ferguson was becoming unbearable with all his negative, immature, potty mouth behavior. Not funny. Not witty. Not watchable. The show was a major disappointment.I do feel bad for all the Craig Ferguson fans that are now James Corden haters and apparently all the negative reviewers on this site. Face it Ferguson wanted to leave CBS and CBS was happy to go in a different direction. They wanted to change things up and they sure did in big, wonderful way. I feel sorry for Ferguson and the his lost talent. I understand why he quit, but honestly, he just wouldn't have fit in the millenial trending late night entertainment slot.
