Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

Okay first off, I love this show! It gives me such good vibes and a sense of nostalgia when I watch it. Not to mention some of the jokes even make laugh out loud. The eighth season though... was utterly disappointing and just plain stupid. Nothing matched up. By this time, I was already kind of starting to feel annoyed with most of the characters and the switch up of writers was so obvious. Personally, my favorite character has always been Hyde and I loved the development he had with Jackie. Spoiler, putting Jackie and Fez together in the last 2 episodes was the WORST mistake I've seen in a long time. Totally undeveloped and forced... Not to mention that Donna and Eric just never seemed right as a couple; Randy made it worse. In the end though, even after all the bashing of the show I've been doing, I still do love it and I know it's not supposed to be that deep. I'm just going to imagine season 8 never happened, honestly.

That 70's Show was one of the few TV series of that time which made it past 100 episodes. It had many USPs - the circle, their dream fantasies, Kitty's laugh, split screens, wacky transitions and their catchy theme song with the "Hello Wisconsin" cry. Also, Was Cosmo this popular? It blended comedy with light social commentary e.g. Economic slowdown and the outsourcing of American jobs, attitude towards immigrants, rise of feminism, lack of a stable home, no higher education (Eric, Kelso, Fez, Hyde and Jackie never attended college)Popmatters had this to say-"That 70s Show takes appropriately complex moral stands about the decade that launched much of what is still considered "progressive." Sex before marriage is okay if two people love each other, like Eric and Donna. But it only leads to complications if it's done for the wrong reasons, as is the case with Kelso....... Light drugs, like pot or booze, are okay and even fun in moderation. Hard drugs are bad and lead inevitably to trouble. Feminism is a good thing. But, still, there's nothing wrong with being a housewife."Maybe I found it at a time when nothing made sense, similar to adolescence. Still it wasn't without its pitfalls. At times mostly in the latter half, I felt that the jokes were repetitive and the only thing that kept me going was the desire to see it till the end.The lack of stable characters bugged me a lot, Midge (Donna's mother), Laurie (Eric's sister), Leo (my favorite guy), disappearance of Eric and Kelso in the last season (making the last season my least favorite despite the ending being good - especially Donna).Despite all of this, That 70's show is not about any of these. At it's essence, it is about the smaller stuff, the unseen moments of adolescence, that which seems to last an eternity, during a time when we haven't traveled around or experienced enough to know better. For a show that never found a huge audience, it ran for 200 episodes, plenty of time for enjoying the same song every dayHanging out; Down the street; The same old thing; We did last week; Not a thing to do; But talk to you; We're all alright!; We're all alright!; Hello Wisconsin!!Damn!

Small-town Wisconsin in the '70s never looked good. Of course, if any small town friend group had the combination of Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Laura Prepon, it may really have been that cool to be in Point Place, despite the gang's complaints.Outside of that, "That '70s Show" is a feel-good comedy, that while starting with a more serious tone in the first season, soon transitions into wonderfully outrageous fun. It doesn't lack for charm either, and the romantic trials of Eric and Donna contribute a lot of heart. It definitely weakens in its final seasons, but it is consistently funny in its glory years.(I saw all of this show in March 2017, and in pieces before and after.)

It has now been over ten years since the end of one of the most iconic television shows of the last 30 years. I hold out hope for a reunion show, or a TV movie. I believe all fans want the same. It could be based in the late 90s and show what has happened since December 31, 1979 (when the show ended). It would be great to see Eric, Donna, Hyde, Fez, Jackie and Kelso again (especially since Kelso and Jackie are together in real life). One has to wonder what they've been up to. How have they been doing? Has Hyde been in prison? Have Jackie and Kelso married and divorced? One can wonder. What about Red and Kitty?A reunion show could answer so many questions, and the gang could be back together, in the circle or not. Someone at Fox, make this happen before they're all gone.
