Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Trouble with the show was it was the same thing every week. You can only rehash the same thing so many times. Till people can figure out what going to happened. Needed better writers.

Man this is an awesome series. I just found out about it thanks to Netflix. I just finished the first season and will start the second (and final) season after I finish watching all the Harry Potter movies. TMI but I haven't seen like five of the Harry Potter movies so watching them all back to back, I can see why they have such a following. Anyway, back to the Terminator TV series. It isn't as good as the first two Terminator films but it is a heck of a lot better than all the other Terminator films, especially the newest one "Gensys" which I just watch and is a piece of trash. I'm going off topic a lot. Maybe I'll revisit this review after I finish season two. 10 our of 10.

After the first few episodes, the writers were able to do what they could with the flawed premise that oblivious producer Josh Friedman presented: Terminator as a high school drama that contradicts the rules laid down in the original movie, starring a very skinny woman as Sarah Connor, who makes such amazing choices as sending her child to public school in the States. Again, the writers did their best with this concept and made it halfway decent, and the actors are talented and do their best. The pilot, set partly in Texas, obviously caters to rednecks who are too drunk to care whether or not this is quality Science Fiction, or even entertainment without plot holes, just as long as there are hot chicks in trucks runnin' over robots. There is also a sudden emphasis on Christianity, never seen before in the franchise. Season 2 came along and the writers had abandoned many lame story lines, such as John Connor rallying his high school classmates together for some purpose. Of course, in that scenario, the audience had to wonder what happened with the abandoned story lines that they had wasted their time on, such as a girl committing suicide.Friedman's bad, trendy idea of a "hot" teen girl Terminator protector with a name (named after James Cameron, winky wink!) who had her own room in the house, accepted an invitation to the prom, and became a ballerina... this was saved only by a charismatic actress. It was otherwise illogical that this little waif could engage in fisticuffs with Terminator after Terminator after Terminator, most larger than her, and win. Though, again, the writers made lemonade out of lemons by saying that she was a custom-made Terminator who was, indeed, taking on more damage than she could repair. The writers managed to get rid of the bad Cameron character and keep the good actress for another "look alike" character in the last episode, but it was too-little-too-late for many audience members.Had there been a season 3, the writers and producers would have been able to completely escape the lame teen premise by placing John in the future after the nukes had dropped, but Friedman had alienated the target too much by that point.Eventually, I found myself pleasantly surprised by how intelligent the show became.Verdict: Great eventually.

Its different, i know that. If you are expecting an exact same replica of Terminator 2 then you are in the wrong place. It focuses less on action and more of the emotional side of the whole ordeal, I'm not saying that it hasn't got action in it because it has plenty! The action scenes don't follow too much on James Cameron's massive flay explosions and focus more on Terminator vs Terminator Mellie fighting and on the guns, but unfortunately doesn't quite live up to the state of the art visuals of T2, mostly because of the budget constraints... the visuals mainly suffered when it showed full CGI indiscreetness or when it showed people shooting lasers at HKs or just in general really. Even though the characters are different to the originals, I reckon the actors bring on a new side of them. Some acting that I would have nag about is that of the Terminators that are sent back, they just don't get it. I mean some of them are actually really good (e.g Garret Dillahunt as Cromatrie/John Henry, Summer Glau as Cameron and the machine from Sarah's dream in the pilot episode: Aaron Cash.) Others just can't do it, I know they're robots but when they walk and talk they aren't completely robotic, some of the people just presume that their movements are stiff and limited but they can actually move quite freely (like humans). So overall this show brings a lot of warmth and humanizes the Terminator franchise
