The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I would have given this show a "0" if I could. I was giving this show a chance as I truly enjoy watching "Homeland". Suddenly, there is an episode where they use DOGS to test their chemicals. They use and explosion device and they have THE DOGS IN A CAGE AND THEY WATCH THEM DIE to ensure that these so called chemicals do in fact work!!! While this is all fictional, I cant help but think that they are giving idiotic people ideas as to what to do and what scientific method to use to test results. I just finished watching this show, and effective immediately, I'm boycotting show. For those people who are animal advocates such as myself, DO NOT BOTHER WATCHING this trash. There are other shows that are far more positive and inspirational, and if you are into dramas, anything is good as long as they don't kill innocent animals. What kind of producer allows this? What about PETA and animal advocates and their belief systems? THIS IS SIMPLY TRASH!!!!

Brave effort by Showtime. Provides insights into the militants and the Muslims who oppose them. Also touches on child prostitution in Mexico in one episode. Warning: Strong language and sex.A convincing effort by a cast of unknowns. Strong narrative and drama. The plot deals with the infiltration of a terrorist plot run by sleeper agents in the United States. The would-be terrorists are malcontents with delusional world views. The show does highlight their hard and soft moments as they seek immortality..The FBI undercover agent has difficult moments. Protecting his identity while keeping his sanity. Killing a fellow member of the cell. Being prodded by his handler to penetrate deeper into the terrorist network. This show is far superior to NCIS and The Closer. I would recommend this series.

Sleeper Cell was an excellent series about an American Muslim FBI agent going undercover into terrorist Muslim cells. The agent, Darwyn Al-Sayeed, is portrayed beautifully by Michael Ealy. A devout Muslim, Darwyn is a gentle, quiet person who longs for a normal life but loves his country too much to turn his back on it. He also loves his religion and despises the way it is twisted by terrorists.Darwyn's opposite is Farik, brilliantly played by Oded Fehr. Farik is a devout Muslim as well, and he's bent on destroying the United States, one bomb, one crowd, one dose of poison gas at a time. He quotes the Qu'ran constantly. His cell has different types as members - some look like the people next door, and they're killers. This is just one scary feature of Sleeper Cell, that terrorists come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Another is how easily they infiltrate and how they are willing to be martyrs to their cause, which we know. The show is heart-stopping in its suspense, and once you start watching, you can't stop.I have to agree with some of the message board comments. This show was mishandled -- badly -- by its producers. I had never heard of it until someone mentioned to me. It was underpublicized -- there was no hype.I for one did not think that the end of season 2 was inconclusive, and I actually don't know how anyone can say that.Watching Sleeper Cell wasn't an entertaining or enjoyable experience. It was intense and overwhelming. I highly recommend it.

First Season was gripping, edge of your seat action/adventure/mystery possibly the best TV of the year.Season two took a page out of the 24 writers book of how-to's, take a great idea with a handful of characters the audience really cares about and ruin it by adding eight handfuls of characters you could really care less about. The story gets stretched thin by the end of the first episode with eight new characters on top of the characters from the first season, plus you have Darwin not wanting to go back to UC work but as every TV cliché would have it he is pulled back in against his will. This is not what viewers of the first season signed up for, we signed up for a great story that was as realistic as it was hard hitting. Not cliché characters, a bumbling idiot boss, the hard-ass parent with whom the main character has to reconcile with, the evil character who has a softer side, the Mexican ex-con with gang affiliations, the tough guy who you find out is gay, let me see if I can think of anymore characters that could be in any number of lame TV shows from the 70's to todays crappy programming? How about the girlfriend that is asked to choose between her man and her child? Or the woman who at any moment can blow her man's cover by speaking to the wrong person.Season one main characters: the cell (4) the girlfriend (1) the boss (1) Season 2 main characters: the cell (5) old cell (2) girlfriend (1) the boss (1) dad (1) lover (1) military good cop bad cop (2)
