The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

I used to like this show, the first couple of seasons were really enjoyable but it has been on a steady decline since then. I know nothing about the books that this show is based on but I hope that they are nothing like they are portrayed here. The main characters are getting more and more condescending with each episode. If I met any of these people in real life I would be in jail for assault. As is the norm for all TV cop dramas, all cases are solved by the most basic intuition and in no time, I also find it impossible to believe that every medical examiner in a TV crime show is so multi talented that they not only perform autopsies with unbelievable accuracy but the are crime scene investigators, can find every piece of evidence in two seconds at the crime scene and can all psycho analyse everyone. ME's don't go to crime scenes ever. don't script writers get that.ALso what is getting worse is the side characters, how could anyone ever put up with Rizzoli's mother, her children are adults and have been successful in what they do why would they allow her to be so interfering, she really is infuriating. Also all the drama and suspense has gone out of the show, it is like a crime show for teenagers or even adolescents with its so vanilla crimes and lack of chills.Anyway I will probably stagger through the final season in the hope that maybe one of the main characters gets killed or something At least it would make it interesting.

Shameful. I just saw the episode where a young man and his girlfriend are walking along the beach and he wants her to go swimming with him AND SHE FLIPS HIM OFF, on prime time TV. Base, rude, offensive and disrespectful. Why not just say the word and skip the gesture. Really teach young people it's OK. No respect shown is no respect earned. And I was watching this with my Mother. I actually had to rewind to make sure I was seeing what I was, and sure enough, there it was. And then he's in the water and throws a shoe at her head, which, of course, turns out to be one with a foot in it. Why not just hit her with it? Normally I love this program but this gesture caught us all off guard and we're all hoping it isn't a sign of what we can expect in the future. TNT, take some advise from your audience, we don't need to see snotty, disrespectful young people doing anything, especially this.

I so enjoy this series!! I have read most of the Rizzoli & Isles books written by Tess Gerritsen, & although I loved the books, I love the TV series better. These women are perfect for their roles - Angie is awesome as Jane Rizzoli & she is tough & confident while being somewhat vulnerable. And Sasha makes a great Moira Isles, I love her sense of style & the funny facts that burst out in random moments is hilarious. In the books, Jane ends up marrying FBI Agent Gabriel Dean and they have a beautiful little baby girl who is extremely demanding lol! And Moira is involved with a priest that always leaves her after their time together feeling worthless and longing for him to come back. Casey is nice & they look happy together but I would like to see Jane finally get together with Gabriel :)

This is my first review but I felt the urge to write something about Rizzoli & Isles, just to let everyone know how good it is. I was pleasantly surprised when I first started watching this show. I was expecting another rather dull serious cop show, lacking a lead male character. BOY HOW WRONG WAS I?!I cannot fault the show in any way, its hilarious in parts, never have I watched anything and found myself smiling from start to finish before. The chemistry between Jane and Maura is amazing, you can tell the ladies are actually enjoying what they are doing and the friendly banter between the two is what makes the show. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this funny, but they do it so well! Its not all comedy, there is some crime and murders involved which is what the show is about. I am a long time fan of CSI and this show outranks it with ease. I could not go back now.The only think I would change would be the length of the episodes and the amount of shows in each Season. I WANT MORE!
