It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Hardest-core crime show ever, an absolute 10/10, an amazing ensemble cast, and a really quality flawless production in every category. Not one for the squeamish, this show does not hold back on sex violence or depravity.

POSSIBLE MILD SPOILERS! But nothing outright is said:I've never binged-watched a show this fast, this show is absolutely fantastic, especially considering it's a show that basically only takes place in like 6 rooms of a prison...here's my one gripe about the show: probably 85% of what happens in the story lines could have been avoided or solved quickly if this prison had SECURITY CAMERAS! This must be the only prison in the US that has no security cameras anywhere. Oh, there's been like 20 murders in the gym over the years? Well we better not put a security camera in there! Guns and drugs and fights and killings constantly keep showing up and happening in a certain corner of the cell block? Lets not install a camera there! The food keeps getting poisoned and people keep getting their throat slit in the kitchen? Nah, a security camera would be a dumb idea to install! Like I said though, besides that one glaring fact this show is amazing. It's pretty brutal, the acting is fantastic, and while there is man on man action at times, it's never usually too involved and the scenes last for a moment (I mention this for the people who are squeamish about this). It is also great as there are so many actors and music stars in their younger years who show up throughout the series (like the priest from Walking Dead and you see his pee-pee), as well as some great veteran character actors who always played great scumbags. I highly recommend this show.

How this made 6 seasons is beyond me. The acting is some of the worst I've ever seen. The set looks flimsy and like it could fall over at any time. The real issues are the story lines. They're just too far fetched and don't flow.Apparently it's an experimental cell block. Where prisoners can only stay if they conform to the rules. No one does and they're very rarely booted out. The worst bit of acting I've ever seen is in this show. When the his brother with learning difficulties /mental issues comes in. It's as if someone said to the actor "imagine an idiots perception of a adult with learning difficulties, I want you to act it like that" Utter tripe. Cast members suddenly disappearing without explanation (They got better work, like Sopranos or the wire)

From the very first episode i sensed that there is more for this show to give than to take ... I have just finished the last episode from the last season , and I can assure for anybody that not a single min of OZ is a waste of time . For anybody who is looking for a ( prison break ) look alike thriller you will not find it here , what you will face here is A LIFE LOOK ALIKE THRILLER , yes as simple as that . guys guys if you are looking for a show just to entertain your eyes , OZ is not that place , it is that place where you have to feel , think , absorb characters , and think more and more , not about OZ , about YOU , YOUR SELF , YOUR OWN LIFE , YOUR OWN BELIEFS , AND THE WAY YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT YOUR SELF AT DAILY BASES . believe me OZ will provoke questions that you have not thought about before , it will charge you with an adequate emotions just so you can deal with your OWN PAST and sometimes it will open a little window so you can face and for the very first time your inner demons . so please watch , understand , learn , and then try to move on with your life with a very new perspective .
