The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

This started great, mature dialogue, good plot, great direction and acting, top production. Then 4th episode is uneven, as is 5th, then further episodes get ever more crappy and silly. A great disappointment. Iron Fist was just stupid. Painfully bad. Same for Jessica Jones, both seasons 1 and 2. Starts very good then falls apart with clumsy writers and direction, silly action, stupid dull flashbacks. Let's face it: Marvel sucks

When i saw that there is going to be a tv-show about the Defenders i was beyond excited to see one of my favorite superhero teams to come alive. I was actually never bored from this show, there are some parts where there are but aside from that it was a pretty solid tv-show. This show follows Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist as they come together to fight the crimes and protect their city from many things regular or supernatural that happen around the streets in New York City. I think if you saw any of their each own shows you will know the characters already. There is plenty of fighting, i think that the fans are going to like that, also humor and one hell of a group of superheroes. Honestly, i liked better the relationship that was with Jessica Jones and Daredevil than Luke Cage's and Iron Fist's relationship. I feel like they saved the show more, because their interactions were so hilarious and they would make a pretty good team. If Marvel made a show about those two i would definitely watch it, the martyr of a lawyer and the alcoholic investigator, that would be awesome but it will never happen unfortunately because the Defenders are one team. The villain in the show is alright i guess, but other then that you should give this show a try.

It is sad that many of the reviewers here don't understand Marvel's concept of an origin story. In the Marvel universe the initial story is rarely as good as the story lines that follow because Marvel introduces the characters and builds the foundation for what follows. Thor, Captain America, Iron Man all had origin stories that were well done, but were slower in action than the subsequent stories that followed. This first season of The Defenders is following the same pattern. I would like to see a second season to see how the story expands. I hope Netflix can see past the negative reviews here and give the show a second season.

Having all of the Defenders in one show was actually a really great idea and I'm glad it turned out the way it did. Yes, it's nowhere near as good as DD or JJ, but it's still very fun for any fan of the individual shows
