In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

My friend who has quite the different taste in films and television shows recommend Life Unexpected to me, so I was hesitant to give it a try. I found the show on Netflix and so I figured I'd give it a try, which is rare for me because I had no idea who any of the cast was. Let me just begin by saying this show seriously affected me and was the main reasoning for me deciding to embark in an acting career. The characters in this show are captivating in all ways possible, especially Lux and Baze. Lux, played by the talented and beautiful actress Britt Robertson can be seen as a lost girl who just wants to find her place in the world, being surrounded by people who love her. The storyline hits you emotionally and you begin to realize how much this show has impacted you. Britt's ability to portray Lux as this unique and unstable teenager is heartwarming. Life Unexpected is a show that people will feel connected to whether it's through Lux, Baze, or even Ryan, who has to accept this teenager into his life because he is in love with her mom. Almost every episode, I had tears in my eyes, being sad and joyful ones. Each episode gives off a dramatic and real life situation, and even if you have never experienced anything that these characters are going through, it makes you feel for them and you end up appreciating these people more and more. I am so incredibly grateful that my friend suggested this show to me and it just goes to prove that Life Unexpected appeals to people who enjoy various different types of films and shows. This show is a hidden gem and it deserves to be bathed in awards. PS if you are a narcissistic person who hates a sappy story, then i suggest you go read something else as you won't find what you are looking for here

This family drama handled a number of difficult but timely social topics such as foster care, adoption, single parent family relationships, foster care abuse, adolescence, peer pressure. You name it they dealt with it. The writers kept me in stitches and at times in tears. The uber extended family Thanksgiving scene was priceless. I thought spitting on the turkey was very symbolic. The writers definitely drove home the message that no person or family is "normal". I was particularly impressed with the acting from the younger stars like Britt Robertson (Lux). The music and scenes of Portland were an added bonus. In general, this was one of the best family series I have ever viewed.

first time i watch this show remembered me about party of five which talked about family too.i really excited this show will be last for years like the other family shows. i really love this show because it's talk about how you appreciated your parents and how you to take care and handle your child. This show give you a thought about no matter imperfect your parents but they still the best for you because the love you with their imperfect and different ways. i hope this show will back soon. i want more story about Cate and Nate"baze". i also want Lux meet again with Eric after her graduated from high school.i really waiting for this show come back soon.

I love this show. Kris will be Baze for me unless I get the satisfaction of the unfolding of this refreshing, unique series with appropriate closure. This calls for more seasons. I understand Kris has been signed by CBS. I cannot bear to watch him as any one except Baze for now. You are cheating the fans in the USA and around the world if you cancel Lux. Since I am very selective in what I view, I am an unforgiving fan. I am loyal to this story. It's worth being told and it deserves to be told.Lux has made an international mark, I think has been very underestimated by the network. There are viewers in countries that wait to watch Lux until the sub-titles are added to the episodes by volunteers (about a week). How do you account for all those viewers. I have been trying to help them find places to leave opinions and encouraging them about writing in English. I will share this link because they can just vote. Thanks for listening. Go LUX, international ambassador.
