I like the premise of this show-where they divide each episode up into four separate stories involving different members of the Short family. I like the "different" way it's filmed, and no laugh track is used or really needed. The situations they use are mostly funny. People can criticize it for its occassional use of sexual innuendos, but I think a lot of sitcoms use those these days. This is one of the best new comedies.*** out of ****

I think Life in Pieces deserves more credit than it gets. One for very famous names in it - who admit it, are just veterans behind the screen and simply know what they're doing, two, for being a copycat, but actually executing itself well enough to stand out and take credit for its own originality in some ways (quite a lot of the premise screams out Modern Family), three, for being what it is supposed to be - funny - just what sitcoms should be, and obviously being categorized as a comedy, it simply delivers. All the characters in this show are lovable - right down to Wiest, whose soft demeanour has always annoyed me, but she plays her part so well, its actually enjoyable (you know, that grandmother you love, but don't want to later grow to dislike because they live in the past, that mother-in-law who is so sickly sweet, she knows she's being nice to you, just so you feel bad for not being good enough for her son, that wife who is devoted but often secretly controlling and the mother who rubs off on you, when you least expect it!). Even the kids are fun to watch, especially the youngest, who may have a little too much sass for a nine year old, but her cute curly locks kinda distracts you from it. I also love Colin Hanks in this, he is looking more and more like his dad, but he's seems to have built his own label and can be appreciated for his own talents. Life in Pieces is a great show to watch with the family, it's educational as well as inspirational, and is simply entertaining.

I find this show refreshingly funny! It is light to watch, the characters are very likable and some of them readable (even though maybe slightly exaggerated). All the actors (young and old) seem to be acting amazingly well and really enjoying it. There is just something about this show, and i cannot put my finger on what exactly it is, that makes it so enjoyable to watch.Such a gem! Do not miss it ! I look forward to getting the new episode every Friday on my Prime video!

I used to hate this series so much that I want to just call the whatever people in charge for TV channel to shut this thing off. But luckily, I changed my mind. I had to watch this show because I had nothing to watch at that time. Maybe I was watching episode 3 or 4 and I thought I've been thinking wrong all the time. It's a great movie, with great actors and great humor. I used to don't like this because it's a short story that ends so cliché and I never understood that. But now? I'M SO ADDICTED!!!! I'm thankful that I gave this a shot and actually really like it. I just can't wait the season 2 to come out. I hope it's getting better.
