n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERSKerrie Taylor plays the role of Lucy Benson very well being rather sassy but also gets into a lot of trouble from getting addicted to drugs to being bound and gagged in a water tank!Kerrie's most famous scene in Hollyoaks is in the episode called 'The Water Tank'. Over 2 episodes Kerrie gets kidnapped and later on almost drowned in a water tank and during this all tied up. She spends the majority of these episodes tied up, gagged and blindfolded with black cloth. And although at the start the gag is needed as the character, Lucy is trying to attract attention by screaming, later on she gives up but remains gagged. This could be to enforce her role of being 'damsel in distress' who are commonly gagged with something. An example of Lucy being gagged for no reason other that to not annoy Rob Hawthorne and to look the part of being a damsel is when she is in the abandoned water tank factory with Rob where she sits there, tied to a chair and gagged. This could also be to enforce some humour and to make Rob look like a the type of person to not like his ex-girlfriends voice.Lucy Benson does try to escape from being kidnapped though, thus making the blindfolds and the gags seem more necessary to use.

Myra should not return she is not necessary. The McQueens irritate me too. It's pretty much rubbish now. I've never really liked Theresa or many of the McQueens. You should read what the fans say over on the messageboards. No wonder the best rating is 5/5. I just think that the show's quality is mediocre at best these days. Some characters are so unattractive as well. Plus what are they doing here in the first place anyway? That question is still unanswered. I loved Carmel. I agree Silas should return. He was unattractive though.

Hollyoaks can get really rather addictive, but no matter how juicy the storyline you've been following is, there is no doubt that it will have a VERY anti-climatic conclusion and all the characters will return to normal within the next week and completely forget anything remotely traumatic ever happened to them. The acting is dreadful, there is no real emotion, the dialogue is stilted and the accents are painful. There are one or two gems in among a bad, bad bunch which make the show bearable, but recently (end of 2011ish) the show has been attempting to impersonate skins, one of the key shots being a direct copy of the DVD cover of the first generation, which makes it just awkward. It's brought in a bunch of new characters, all of which have intoxicatingly overdone personalities. There are also many cringe-worthy moments where the show attempts comedy, and fails. The show gets a 3 out of 10 for being mildly entertaining at times, and for a few crazy story lines that did get me hooked (I'm ashamed to say.) However, the writing is terrible. The acting is terrible. The plots string you along and then completely disappoint you. Just...don't watch it.

They say it is a teen soap, but people from all different ages watches this marvellous exciting show, that has established itself to be one of the popular shows in Britain today. Based in fictional town Chester it revolves around the lives of young people and how they cope with daily troubles. The show has been running well over 10 years and has made household names such as Will Mellor, Jodi Albert Gary Lucy and Laila Rouass. Throughout it's history it has produced memorable characters like Kurt, Jambo, Luke, Geri, Lewis, Jude and more recently Ben, Izzy, Mandy, Bombhead, Lee and many others. Viewers often find that most of these characters, they either fall in love with them or they want to be mates with hem. Till this day, the show continues to provide memorable characters who touch our hearts and we can relate our lives to such as Justin, Sam and Gilly. Unlike other soaps like Eastenders, Corrie and Emmerdale, Hollyoaks has a strange way of mixing dramatic story lines always with a bit of comedy. There also a sense of belonging in Hollyoaks which makes viewers much more happier rather than miserable whilst watching something like Eastenders. During the 90s both Eastenders and Corrie were at their best, but while Eastenders lost its touch of that warmth and excitement of having to sit down and look forward to watching the show, Hollyoaks still provides this. Often known as watching as a hangover cure as Sunday Omnibus editions prove, the time slot is at 6;30 where it is one of the top performers on this slot and often you find each Hollyoaks episode gives out a 'feel good factor'. But despite this, Hollyoaks has proved to tackle some great story lines like drug rape, suicidal, homelessness, racial bullying and of course the rather memorable male rape. Although many believe that the show should be awarded a lot more, Hollyoaks had has its fair share of success. Four BAFTA and three National Television Award nominations has been awarded to the show. Story lines such as male rape became a huge hit with the critics and actor Gary Lucy who played the rape victim, received many accolades including 'Best Newcomer' gong at the British Soap Awards. Overall, Hollyoaks has proved many critics wrong when it first began as the show has captured its audience's hearts and also often provides much needed excitement for its viewers- unlike other soaps. Proving it is not just a show for teenagers, Hollyoaks has also had a string of late night series involving more adult story lines. Hollyoaks comes highly recommended as it has proved t be Channel 4's number 1 drama series.
