Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

Two seasons in, this show is developing several major & minor arcs to the storyline. Twists & turns at every corner. There's some cliffhangers, what ifs & plot holes from the start, just never stops, & Season 3 is expected to fill some while opening others. If you're looking for a rock star series, you'll be puzzled at how this is playing out. This is one of those shows that you might not like everything that happens, but eventually there's light at the end of the tunnel for various situations. Like, don't like it,...this is a new character's welcome series and good one for USA. Each dark storyline doesn't last forever even though it appears as if like a sinking ship, a character goes through disastrous complications. Just have to see it to believe it & understand it.

This show "jumped the shark" with the episode of the team robbing a bank and blowing up the security boxes. That was just freaking crazy. What government agent would do that? None of these characters have any respect for the law and none of them actually follows orders. What happened to the FBI agent and his drug running business? That was a major themes last season that was ignored.Mike went totally off the rails this year with the bank robbery and the burning of the women's body. Who cares if that prick lives? The finale with Serinda Swans character telling the corrupt cop where he could find and kill Mike was just unforgivable. This show had an excellent first year but the writers totally screwed up the show this year. Do Not Renew!

This show is another masterpiece by Jeff Eastin! This is a slightly different show with an edge with absolutely great actors. Aaron Tveit who is killing it as Mike as a rookie cop who is investigating one of his own friends. Keeping secrets comes in a deadly price; and the writing of this show is spectacular. Every episode leaves a cliff-hanger leaving the audience at the edge of their seat. Daniel Sunjata who portrays Paul Briggs, the most experienced cop in the house but has an inflicted past that always comes back to haunt him is amazing! Sunjata's acting as a "zen" cop that knows he is in trouble just puts his acting gift to a whole new level. I want the secondary characters later like JT and DJ to get bigger roles and maybe more darker ones too. Hopefully this show continues to get better with each episode and hopefully has a long run as well (keeping fingers crossed)!

I was totally, let me emphasize, TOTALLY, hooked to the series right from the start. But if you're not, watch on. Because on hindsight, I realised that the show just got better and better as it went on, and in that sense, maybe the first 10 minutes of the show probably didn't do it justice. So really, watch on, you're not going to regret it at all. I've watched a lot of crime dramas, but this one is just, you know, different. It's got a very down to earth plot, tight story line, very compact and pretty intense, but I think the best part about this show is not how well the actors reenacted the federal SOPs but rather the characters' depth and their developments as the series went on. It's not a show where you get slammed with some conspiracy terrorist bombing attack right in the face from episode 1. It starts slow, warms you up, gets you to love this bunch of people first and then it picks up pace while you explore the crime AND the people. And that's not to say the show is frivolous or anything. I mean the plot is some good, good stuff. I think that's what I love about this show so much. It's got its fair share of fun. Such as, the very varied individual personalities. So maybe if you're looking into some intense crime solving scientists studying fingerprints in labs, you might want to just move on. To me it's very distinct how the show starts off introducing you to this bunch of people and you as the audience form your own ideas and impressions about who they are, and then as the show rolls on you start to question your own judgment and make new ones as it's slowly revealed more to you about the background of each character. The series ends off clearing some stuff up just enough to leave you satisfied for Season 1 finale, but leaves (more than) enough loose ends to fully explore them again in Season 2. And that's good news, because from what I can tell, there is SO much potential for it in the next season. Can't wait.
