If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

Must see TV. Loved it. Binged the first and only season in one day.

So, if it were not for the final episode. I would of given this a 10. Hands down.I've missed good western movies and shows. I just do not think 2018 politics / worldviews is a way to represent the wild west. I honestly just think it's bad. But, I forgave the show in the first episodes just because of how honestly good it was! Then the final episode comes, and it starts out great! And then... well. I had to really try to like it. When I find myself in a situation where I have to convince myself of: This is a movie, this makes sense because this and that. The immersion is broken and yeah. It's automatically not a 10 anymore. If you cant stick with the immersion and the close to realism in a western flick. (Close to, not fully on realistic. I dont want a fully realistic western movie, because I want OP gunslingers. That's basically how westerns work) But, when it goes too far, it's bad. So, I'm giving it a 7/10 in all honesty endings have so much to say that I could be going for a 6 even. But, I wont. I'm being generous because it's honestly such a good show. They just rumped it up at the ending. Catastrophically.

Finally a series I can watch instead of having to read ! There are subtitles for the Native American lines. But very few. Personally, I don't watch a show to read subtitles. This one has some great Actors with a storyline that has you wanting to see the next show!!I hope this one gets a long run! Keep up the great work, Netflix!

The story takes place in and around the village of La Belle, where almost all men died, and the women struggle to survive, when they encounter an outlaw on the run: Roy Goode. The viewer gets to know the women, Goode, life in La Belle, while Jeff Daniels keeps the viewers on the edge of their seat, in his hunt to find Goode and kill all who he loves.Roy Goode is an interesting character, and so are the women. Some events are random and borderline irritating, but those events are used to introduce minor characters. At times the show is slow, but the storytelling is more than decent and the characters are interesting, so the people and their backgrounds are engaging. This makes it forgivable that the show is pretty "in your face" with the obvious message that it is about good versus bad, and women versus man. It's present contiuously, irritating at moments, but it never kills the show or the pace. The credibility suffers at moments but the lead cast carries the show in a way that only professionals can. That brings us to Jeff Daniels, who portrays Frank Griffin, a psychopatic and philosophical gang leader who appreciates certain values and will go to any length to honor those. Daniels succeeds into making this character a balanced personality that showcases a broad range of traits and emotion, but never fails to scare every living being on his path, including the audience.Watch it for the beautiful scenery, a look in the life of people in Godless times, and for the most interesting and least superficial villain in a long time. This makes the whole show worthwile, including the flawed final episode.
