The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

Our four year old daughter, who is bi-lingual (Dutch and Mandarin Chinese), just loves the show. Last July we purchased the Chinese language versions when we were in China and she can't stop watching the DVD's (before she already watched the Dutch versions on local TV).Not only is she now improving on her Chinese but she is also learning English! (the Dutch and Chinese versions replace the Spanish text parts in the original show with English).Go Diego Go! is not only good the learn a little bit of another language, it also teaches the kids something interesting about animals! Regularly we also let her search Youtube to watch parts of other language version so she can get acquainted with more than a few languages. There should be more shows like this that are educational and have no violence in them!

Wow! This is a really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational show. I said that because I watch this on Nickelodeon and Noggin with my 2½-year-old nephew from time to time. It's hard to say which show on Nickelodeon and the Noggin network is the best. If I had to pick, this would definitely be one of the cutest. Still it's really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that the people at Nickelodeon and Noggin really know how to reach a toddler's developing mind. Now, in conclusion, if you have children, nieces, or nephews, I strongly recommend this really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational show. I guarantee you that they will enjoy it.

Alright, I watched the show today to see what it was like, even though I'm a bit to old, just to compare with the other show that makes me gag - Dora the Explorer. I found that Go, Diego, Go is the same practical thing as Dora. Same irritating voice for both characters, same "can you help me do this", same crummy-sounding songs, same Spanish language (though this isn't a bad thing), and worse of all - same basic plot.In Dora, you are there trying to get to somewhere by three separate locations on the map (make sure you know the locations, the map reads them off 4 to 5 times), then when you get there, you act like a moron, andthe show is over. On Diego, you are trying to get somewhere (only with a dangerous animal that would probably rather kill you than kindly follow you), then when you get there, you act like a moron and the shows over.No huge difference in both crap shows to me. And somebody ought to get rid of the person who does that dreadful annoying voice for Diego and Dora.

While Dora is around 4 years old, she covers the basics of find. Now, as children graduate from the memorizing and finding stage, they can go on to learn all about different animals. My daughter is still dedicated to Dora, but now talks all about the animals she sees on Go, Diego, Go! A step up in learning, definitely worth watching with your child. The songs are more catchy, almost more along the lines of noticeable dance music such as Click The Camera's theme song and Rescue Pack, sometimes I have to resist the urge to dance with my child. While some may dub Go, Diego, Go as a boy-oriented show, one can not forget Diego's sister, Alicia, who also helps out at the animal sanctuary, making the show not only for boys - but also in a sense for siblings.
