It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

The characters become incredibly annoying very quickly.

This show has provided a wonderful mixture of heart, drama, and comedy.Even after many years since watching it, Netflix provided the opportunity to re-watch again at my leisure, and the show is still as touching.The journey of Lorelai and Rory is one which goes through many dramatic stages but ultimately its their relationship which makes this show.With it's unique dialogue and heartfelt life lessons, this is a show I will always love and never forget.

***may contain spoilers******warning - reviewed by a analytical mind. if logic means nothing to you this review might not be helpful. (yes, sometimes it is OK to suspend logic such as core elements like super heroes or space/time travel but the basics?)***let me preface this review with some facts: male viewer didn't even consider this show when it came out and I was younger. perhaps younger audiences won't see this show the same way? only viewed episodes into season 3 so far (and viewed GG: A Year in the Life). yes, as a logical person I don't mind viewing an ending first so I can understand how stories connect and flow. also to pick up on things I might have missed otherwise because I wouldn't have been looking for them.this show is different in the sense it is very dialogue/conversation based at it's core. if there is other shows like this have not come across them. that said it was nice to discover that not even the actors themselves understood everything witty they say. I wonder if even Amy or Daniel did being as I catch flaws in the shows wit and sarcasm here and there.if you ever read this Amy or Daniel, cobras do NOT constrict. *smh* sure as a nickname it sounds more cool but also to a person with common sense it sounds completely dumb. FYI, Gretzky is NOT the best example to use for "nice save", he is an example to use for scoring, as in, nice score Gretzky. you seemed to pride yourself on the obscure references so more appropriate would have been to write the line as "nice save Grant Fuhr" since, uh, that's what he was great at! saving. get it? or some other well known goalie from hockey or even soccer. also, after a lengthy dance competition their feet hurt? really? uh, no. maybe their legs would have hurt more likely from being used for nearly 24 hours. unless that's a female thing and you're saying the competitors were dumb and wore the worst shoes for dancing ever? still legs would be the most likely to be sore the following day.OK, so moving along, my other nit pick is the length of time it is taking for the characters Lorelai (Rory's mom) and Luke to get together. geez, she dates everyone but him? and if she has been in town since she was 16 and Luke grew up there I'm pretty sure it would NOT have taken them this long to actually decide to go out on a date. they would have grown up in such a little town seeing each other A LOT! the show portrays them as basically not having known each other when they were younger which seems an impossibility as they claim everyone in Stars Hollow knows everyone. heck, how could Lorelai NOT know Luke dated the photographer lady but everyone else did? uh, huh? Lorelai's inability to get along with her parents and to just hold on to a grudge like a bulldog when she was JUST as responsible for the rift between her and her parents seems out of place when the character is written giving her own daughter sage advice repeatedly. which brings up another small point. on occasion Lorelai gives Rory advice about younger experiences she should or should not try which she would have NO EXPERIENCE herself to even give such advice. hello? she dropped out of school and ran away? so where did she come by this typical mother/daughter or personal gain experience?another flaw confirmed to not be true, no frick'n way the characters eat the way the show tries to suggest. sure it's a story but don't fall for it. if the characters ate like show suggests Lorelai would be bigger than Sookie. (you might get hungry watching this show, an FYI)regardless of these common sense/logical flaws the show is very entertaining and the characters are very likable for the most part. seems the more the show continues the less likable Rory is however. maybe this is a guy's perspective though. she's probably relate-able by girls would be my guess. this could also be influenced by knowing how she turns out. the characters interactions are done great to (for the most part). especially between Lorelai (Lauren) and Emily (Kelly) and between Lorelai (Lauren) and Luke (Scott).lastly, two of the actresses are very good facial expression actresses. only noticed maybe 3 other actresses (two that I recall right away being Jaime Ray Newman & Joanne Kelly) with this talent but found two more here in one show. kudos to Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop on their talents. hard to believe Moose came from this show to! couldn't believe it was him in the first episode.(reserve the right to edit after all seasons are completed)

Gilmore Girls has definitely got to be one of the highest-quality family show ever on TV. It is situated in a small suburban town in Connecticut called "Stars Hollow" where everyone knows and cares about each other. The story is centered around the relationship of Lorelai, a 32-year-old single mom, and her teenage daughter, Rory. The bond of the two promotes a very healthy family bond. It is amazingly smart, with fast-paced and witty dialogues that may refer to a lot of different subjects; from politics to Dostoyevsky! I strongly recommend this show to anyone who wants to finally hear some intelligent dialogues by some very interesting characters.
