Wonderful character development!

Such a frustrating disappointment

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

This was a great show but would have been better without Sam & then Sam & Jules should have been fired when they rekindled their relationship. I wish they'd start making this show again but without Sam. All he wanted to do was shoot & kill somebody he had to much of an itchy trigger finger he practically begged to take the shot every time he was sierra repeatedly say I have the solution & I can end this all right now so the show could have totally done without Sam ever having been there.

Move over NCIS, Hawaii Five-0. American cop shows are all blood, action and nothing else. Flashpoint explores everything, from SWAT-like work with cooler gadgets such as ball cameras, Scout UAVs, Snake Cameras, Fibre Optic Cables, Infra-Red imaging, range finders...and not to mention the girlfriend--"Babycakes" a cute anti-IED/explosives robot that makes R2-D2 look crappy. The characters have simply the best inter and intra chemistry, and it's not just because the famed AJJ is amongst the cast. The investigative element is not usual of a SWAT-like unit but it brings this great drama into another dimension. The we see how police officers are really human; they suffer PTSD-like symptoms like any one. We also get to see ho lives are saved--even the hostage takers lives unless "Scorpio" is necessary.Sure they don'wear enough protective gear especially ballistic helmets. but that's fine. But the explosive and chemistry guru of the group, Spike disarming bombs without a suit makes him look cool. Flashpoint simply rocks over all the fighting police dramas. It's only because its Canadian that it didn't make it big internationally.

We are only two episodes in so far & already this series stands out from the crowd. Erase every preconceived idea you may have & just ... watch.The first episode could quite easily have been a Denzel Washington movie, the hostage taker is a bully so you kinda want him taken down but to the team it really is the last resort - the FLASHPOINT of a situation.Episode two .. my goodness what writing!!Special mention so far to Amy Jo Johhnson (Kimberly from the original Power rangers)as a female sniper.

this show is total trash. they don't listen to their chief. he says don't shoot, this guy wants to kill himself. he wont kill the hostage. what do they do, his subordinate tells the sniper, shoot. another episode, girl abused by dad, dad kidnaps the mom (ex-wife i think), daughter gets called in to help, dad drops gun, girl pulls gun to shoot dad for the abuse, idiot sniper shoots her instead. i've never seen a bigger bunch of murderers and screw ups pretending to be cops. not only am i glad the show is canceled but every one of these actors should be kept unemployed that's how bad it was.that's my 2 cents...no make that 1 cent. this show isn't worth more.
