Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

I just found "First Wave" and I gotta say, WOW, am I ticked off.As an avid TV watcher, and a Sci-Fi fanatic, I have no idea how this got past my sci-dar.At least SciFi has seen fit to start it up again - and thank goodness for my DVR so I can tape all episodes. This series absolutely rocks. It doesn't rely on the oh-so-well-used computer aided nonsense, rather it's a well written, edge-of-your-seat grip-something-really-tight adventure, a thinking person's program.Again, how this got by me when it was in production and on-air has me not only perturbed but confused - to say they needed better press is the understatement of the last and present century. If anyone with any juice at all reads this blurb, hey. Get on it. Get this program back into production with the original cast, please.Oh - and get a better ad agency or press personnel group or something - your last one did a poor job - especially to miss someone as into this genre as me.DebraHoney@aol.com

From the very first episode I got addict to this wonderful show!It is intelligent and thoughtful,it didn't rely on special effects,it had great actors which were perfect for their characters, especially Sebastian Spence and Rob La Belle. They are wonderful as Cade and Eddie and they make their characters believable. The show was SUPERB and I want to see First wave movie! :)

This wonderful series was NOT made for the average sci-fi fan. This series WAS made for fans who possessed that a LITTLE more philosophical insight than the average. It was made for those of us who thirst for series that whirl you around in eternal questions and philosophical quests. Two Thumbs UP to this insightful science fiction series and its discerning fans! Two Thumbs DOWN to the forces which was ended it mercilessly. FEW series can draw you in with its truly intellectual content. This series challenged the brain in every episode. It did not quench the needs of the visual and ephemeral sensibilities. This series pondered wonderful questions BEYOND good vs. evil - it pondered questions of in the best tradition of the morality plays infused with limitless dimensions of time, space and fate v. free will. Here's a Big VOTE to continue to this series or at least to make one or two CONCLUSIVE movies. This series deserves that - at the very least.KUDOS to SPENCE, LA BELLE, CROSS, BRANCATO, COPPOLA and SUGAR for truly fine series. Thank you SCI-FI CHANNEL."Believe in Me. This is our final battle."

I tried to like this show but it is just that lame. I hate to be the fly in the ointment but this show just does not cut it. The lead actors cannot act even a little. Honest to goodness Traci Lords never, ever changes her facial expressions, even a little. I have seen her in this and in several of her post-porn movies and I wonder if she is physically capable of anything but one single stone faced look. Sebastian Spence is no better, he is a total blank slate who tries to look intense, Rob Labelle adds a one dimensional note a hyper computer geek. The show is the most unoriginal I have ever seen. The premise is a combination of the 60's The Invaders and the Fugitive. Characters, plots of episodes, etc are all derivitative. You can watch every episode and say "They got that from the X-Files" and "That's from Star Wars" throughout the entire show. Every show. Like I said I tried to like this show but hey a little originality goes a long way. tag
