Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

Stumbled on this gem on Netflix. My family don't watch much network TV so we missed out when the series aired. This was a great show that deserved a better fate. Let me count the ways.1. High production values. The camera work, use of shadow, and special effects - all superb for a TV show.2. Excellent setting - love NY City, the park, and I know where the building is that was used for the external shots. Love the setting and the haunted house theme.3. Good writing, a lot of depth in the plot lines and surprises that give you an 'ah hah' moment.4. Excellent acting. Terry O'Quinn excels in his role, and the rest of the cast are well chosen and overall compliment the story.5. Shades of 'The Shining" which is a horror classic shine through.6. There is some genuinely "creepy" stuff in the stories which can take the viewer by surprise. Well done example of a horror genre that often gets bogged down with pulp shows like paranormal activity.7. Very smart - this may have been the Achilles Heal of the show I guess. The viewer has no laugh track and must choose to engage and become immersed in the story. Is that the average TV viewer in America? Especially for a horror show? And the Sunday night time slot - opposite late Sunday NFL games ... poor choice.I sincerely hope some cable network picks this up and runs with it. Its sad there are only 13 episodes.

It was refreshing to see "John" from Lost doing TV again. This show deserved a second season. The storyline was slow but methodically written with a purpose for every detail. Some things were a little obvious but I don't mind. I appreciate the fact that there weren't a lot of " cat scare jumps " instead more cerebral fears. The ending was a little quick and deserved a better thought out reveal. It is certainly worth the time to watch. I had unanswered questions about a few things in the end. As a whole I would certainly recommend this title. I watched it on Netflix only because I have no patience. I hope you enjoy.

666 Park Avenue. Well well well. Again I find myself trawling the web for the final episodes of a series that I have actually enjoyed very very much. Apparently the series is on the trash heap and for some unknown reason the last episodes have been released at an infuriatingly slow pace. I seriously don't know why they have pulled this show. The actors are intriguing and the story line is new and mysterious.I say give them a fair go and speed up production. Lets see a second season...I am not happy the show has been canned and furious at the amount of time the network are taking to release the final episodes.

My heart is broken. I just the show was canceled. I don't understand how one determines the market on a show but 666 Park Avenue was always the talk on Monday mornings after dropping the kids to school. Not since Desperate Housewives have we had so much to talk about on the tennis courts and at lunch. The characters were amazing and I found myself dreading getting close to the end. It has been many years since I have looked forward to a great night of television entertainment and this show was the highlight of my Sunday evenings. PLEASE somebody else pick this show up or please ABC, reconsider. With all the crap on TV that should be canceled (like every reality TV show out there) ......please not this. I wish I could figure out how to make a difference.Thank you, Patti
