I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

24 is the best action show ever made and one of the most entertaining shows I've ever watched. I actually can't believe all the negative reviews but it doesn't surprise me as most action movies get lots of negative reviews too. But I guess if your not into the genre why watch? Jack Bauer and John Maclean are very similar so I'd describe 24 as the tv version of Die Hard. Both men work in law enforcement and usually have a personal stake in the story, and both are about terrorists and how one man does his best to stop the terrorists, sometimes working with or against the law and both almost die multiple times. So yeah if your a fan of action and liked Die Hard then you'll love 24.

I enjoyed the show alright ... talking about season 1 only. Except Nina was supposed to be killed by Jack as directed by Gaines who was under the Drazens. It was Jack who gave Nina a flak jacket and saved her life. How come she will still work for the Drazen after that ? Not likely. It was a mistake by the makers ... no doubt ... Thats why only 7 stars by me.

This is a complete joke of a show. Its not a 2-hour horribly ridiculous movie - its TWENTY-FOUR hours of ridiculous, unbelievable, and stupid pseudo-drama. For instance, Sutherland gets poisoned and starts to have a heart attack. In minutes, he self-injects a medication to stop his heart attack, but within 5-10 minutes, he is running "full speed" down the street after a "bad guy". Yeah. Sure. If you watch one hour, you've seen all 24. If you've been kidnapped and forced against your will to watch all episodes, watch the first, ...go catatonic for the middle 22, and then watch the 24th. Now, you've got the whole story. This show should be a form of torture at Gitmo. I gave it a '2' instead of '1' because some of the commercials are pretty good.

Great series, if you could see past the horrible performances of Carlos Bernard and Penny Johnson Jerald. (Tony Almeida/Sherry Palmer) Those two alone almost made me quit watching the series several times.Besides that, the series keeps up the tension through the seasons. Although, there's a few times the plot get's a bit "washed out".
