There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Anyone in their late 30s to late 40s can identify with the characters in this movie. At one time, the protagonists were at the top of their high school food chain- the athlete, the rocker, and the valedictorian, but faced with mid-life, these three friends must confront failed relationships and unfulfilled dreams. While the technical aspects of the film (lighting and sound) scream low budget, the character development and acting are engaging. The banter between the three friends regarding "sport vs activity", "scrudge", and "Labor Day picnic" gives credence to the longevity of their friendship. John McGinley, supported by Bruce Springstein's "When You're Alone" conveys more with two lines than most actors can with a page. Having grown up on the East Coast making annual trips to SC and FL, I enjoyed the regionalism. Any one miss the old South of the Border signs? The soundtrack certainly added to the film- especially if you are familiar with the lyrics. The Dylan, Springstein, and Dire Straits these guys listened to in their youth eventually gave way to the more upbeat sounds of DelAmitri and Bowling for Soup (which I found humorous given 1985 is probably what the band's most recognizable song). Favorable treatment of women as well. I would recommend this film.

D.B. Sweeney Co-Wrote, Produced, Directed and Co-Stars in this film about three lifelong friends from PA who are rapidly approaching the mid-life crisis portion of their lives. They are all looking to "run away" from something and take advantage of the 2 tickets one of them wins to a College Bowl game in FL.Duirng the road trip they come to many realizations about life, themselves and attempt to find a way to come to grips with their past mistakes and reinvent their futures. Although there are some outrageous moments thrown in along the road trip this film has true heart at its' core and any 30+ male will truly be able to relate to the 3 lead characters and their plight.Kudos to D.B. for making this film out of his own pocket!

After meeting DB during the Santa Fe Film Festival I wanted to check out his movie. I had already planned to go to the film but a few changes happened at the first showing. I promised him I would definitely go to the 2nd and I am glad I did. It had great humor, and a heart. It took me back to the times I spend with my childhood friends which have been friends for over 30 years. The trials we had through the years keeping our friendships together and how we made it through the roughest spots and remained friends. I thank you "DB" for making this film and your kindness in talking to me at the Santa Fe Film Festival. I am looking forward to your next project. Please contact me when you release this film I would like to purchase a copy for my friends in Oklahoma. Continued success in your career and life. The film also included great cinema photography, great acting, and surprises which I will not tell here you will have to see it when it comes to your town :) Thank you for the opportunity to see this great film. To be truthful when I watched this movie I began thinking here we go with yet another road trip pile of cliché's. I was so wrong! This sweet little movie combines so many human emotions to take the viewer along life's troubled road, laughing out loud and then truly feeling for the men with their individual issues that constantly simmer throughout. Mcginnley is fantastic and gives a performance second to none. In summary, I laughed out loud on way more than one occasion. I related to the 3 men and understood their individual strengths and weaknesses. I strongly believe that this movie will touch the heart of all that watch it and the raw truth weaves it's way through the movie perfectly.I loved it!!
