Truly Dreadful Film
... View MoreLet's be realistic.
... View MoreJust so...so bad
... View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
... View MoreI loved this movie. The failures of my life have never been so humorously captured in a comedy before, and it made me feel good to be an under-accomplished average guy about to turn 40. They really nailed it! Very entertaining. Somehow, they stayed on the brink of suicide together for most of the movie, which isn't quite where I'm at, but that added a wonderful abstract to the whole theme of "we're not making it, so lets end it" that they came out of of course by the end of the movie. The humor was quirky and subtle rather than hit you in the face bathroom comedy, and the perspective was almost cutting. All in all, a great movie with a huge list of great actors, and even some cool special effects. I really enjoyed it.
... View MoreThis is a film that was a first time effort by actor, director, writer D.B. Sweeney. The actors in the film are a well rounded cast. The music is well suited for the film. The film gives you a taste of reality, comedy, and introspection. I grew up knowing someone like the main character so this movie had the ability to really hit home for me. I feel that this being his first director, writer, actor project that D.B. Sweeney did great. I look forward to seeing more productions from him. In my estimation he is an under utilized talent from Hollywood. One of his real assets in film is to suspend disbelief with the ability to portray the everyman that allows you to personally identify with his character. This talent makes any film more enjoyable. There is nothing worse than watching a film where you can't relate to the main character. His everyman quality is a unique talent that not all actors possess. This talent makes an actor diverse in their ability to take a role and make it their own. D.B. Sweeney did a great job on this film. Give it a look.
... View MoreI don't know much about movie making, but I never was a big fan of John McGinley. He always seems to me to know he's acting in a movie or a TV show. I was surprised in "Two Tickets To Paradise" I was able to look past that and thought he did a good job.I can't imagine this picture cost a lot of money to make, but it was a great story, not to mention funny, that I think everyone can relate to. It amazes me they spend so much money on the big blockbusters that don't even compare.Maybe it's just me, wanting to see a slice of life story and not things blown up. I'd definitely go see whatever DB Sweeney directs next. This movie was such a nice surprise.
... View MoreA great comedy with a lot of funny scenes delivered by some great actors...John C. McGinley, Ed Harris, D.B....Even a surprise cameo by Chris Chelios for NHL fans! Would have better for the movie if there had been some more money available for the special effects. A great sound track goes along with the movie with songs from Bruce Springsteen and Dire Straits to name a few. A studio needs to pick the movie up and distribute it so the rest of the world can witness the great script writing by Brian Currie and D.B. Sweeney. Can't wait to see what those two can do when they get some real money behind a project. Can you say "And the Oscar goes too..?"
