I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

I definitely disagree with the review that states that this movie will just keep you entertained but not be memorable. I first watched this movie on netflix I want to say around 4 years ago, and it was one of the few movies I've ever watched that has stuck out to me. Interesting, exciting, and I would definitely recommend every 8th grade to sophomore year girl to watch this. Is it definitely a major plus now that I took time to watch this movie again, that the cast is actually pretty excellent. They have Janel Parrish from Pretty Little Liars, Awkward's Brett Davern, Nolan Gerard Funk from Spectacular, and I might be wrong but I think I might have quickly spotted Avan Jogia from Victorious. Now for the cons of this movie. I agree that some of the script seems a little awkward. For instance, they use the term "stoop" instead of "porch". Also I know this couldn't really be avoided, but Eve's voice really creeped me out the entire time. She has this creepy old lady voice. And lastly, I do not think that the characters and movie itself was very relatable. The themes can be very broadly taken an applied to real life, but in general it just is not very relatable.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. Yes, it is predictable, and the acting is only okay, but if you're looking for something kind of light and a little silly, this is it. There are also a lot of complaints about the writing, but the lines are actually pretty accurate to how teens talk. I guess this is more of a teenage girl-type movie. It starts out with Eve's birthday party. Three "Popular" girls are there, along with the school's "rat freak" and a transfer student from another school, Chapin. No one knows exactly why she was kicked out of her old school, except that is has to do with a freak accident involving a girl falling, being pushed, or jumping off a bridge, depending on who you asked. They proceed to begin a game of Triple dog, an exaggerated version of Truth or dare where there are no truth questions allowed, only extreme dares. They then drive around the city and do a bunch of different dares, ranging from streaking to faking a seizure in a public place. This part gets a little tedious, but it is necessary to the whole plot.Every once in a while there is a flashback to a few days before, and there are flashbacks to the night of the freak accident, portraying the different versions of how it happened. We eventually find out what happened, and it is entirely predictable, but still sweet and kind of sad. Not Oscar-worthy, but still a cute little movie.

OK so honestly now, did i see the same movie as everyone else? this is the first review i have ever posted because i am utterly shocked that people actually thought this was remotely watchable. the best review is the one that mentions that this one isn't for twilight fans, implying that this piece of garbage is better. though i haven't and will not view twilight, i can't imagine that something like this could be thought of as intelligent. the reviews that mention the great acting and character development....i mean really, is this the same movie. triple dog? the one with the bad girl (you know she's bad cause she wears her hat cocked to the side and the music gets edgier when she's introduced), the rich girl, the catholic girl, the rat girl...yeah she carries around a rat, the slutty girl, and then the main character that is i suppose, the nice girl. not only do you not care about these characters, but you hate them. and then there's the surprise twist. wow...i can't believe i sat through all of this. i want my 95 minutes back! if people believe this is a quality movie, mankind is doomed. so bad....really, if you're thinking of watching it, do it! cause it really is that bad. honestly, i am really nervous that people think this is good. utter drivel! you can find more tension and drama on old nickelodeon shows.

I feel duped by the other reviewer who left their comment, this is overall a bad film and poor entertainment. Please do not waste your time. I waited for the surprising twist that was hinted at, and I really wish I hadn't.All the actors are bad, giving very weak performances. The characters are all one-dimensional and stereotypical - you have a catholic prude, a 'crazy wild child', prime and proper girl, the freaky outsider (Rat Girl?), they're all in there. No real character development or exposition, you feel no sympathy for the main characters and you don't care what happens to them. The film is predictable, within the first 20minutes you pretty much know the 'twist', don't bother staying around after that. The pranks are dishwater dull. The ending was awful. Truly.
