Great visuals, story delivers no surprises

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

If you what see a good action movie. See this movie. This is a great movie. It has great acting. It also has a great story line. It is very fast past. See it. It is one the best movies I have seen.

I enjoyed this when it came out and was interested to see if it stood the test of the me and I'm glad to say it did. If anything I appreciated the humour more which brings a different side to the character of Thor which would lad have been pretty one dimensional otherwise. Very underrated Marvel movie.

Kenneth Branagh is a good director, but the acclaimed thespian probably wasn't the best choice to direct Marvel's 'Thor'. His choice to have almost every single shot on a canted angle is extremely annoying and it gives the film a monotonous feeling. If every shot is tilted, none of them are. The bland screenplay and characters don't help either, as they are the thing that really makes this film boring. The attempts at humour fall flat, yet the film is unintentionally funny on several occasions due to how some serious moments are over-done to the point of feeling parody-like. Saying that, the film isn't terrible; there are some enjoyable action sequences, the score by Patrick Doyle is pretty catchy and the overall message of the film is a good one, even if it is a bit poorly handled. 5/10

As far as I was concerned, Thor was one of the less well-received MCU movies. Little did I know, this movie is actually quite enjoyable. Yes, the second one is a different story, but this is a pretty stellar superhero movie. Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings have great chemistry and really make the movie better. Chris Hemsworth isn't my favourite actor but he does do a pretty good job in his role. The real show-stealer, though, is Tom Hiddleston. He is absolutely perfect in his role as Loki and really makes the movie better than it actually is. The humour and action is enough to solidify itself as a good superhero movie without quite reaching Iron Man status. Rating: 7.5/10
