I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Over the years, we have watched "The Wrong Guy" many, many times: This is one of the funniest movies ever made! The actors are the best/absolutely hilarious, every scene is great, the dialog is clever and quotable! David Anthony Higgins is hysterical! His dry delivery of his lines couldn't be funnier! (Not to mention, his hilarious bit as the unseen radio DJ!) Everything about this film is 10 stars! The direction and editing is perfect and clever! Dave Foley is so funny - and it's great to see comic genius Joe Flaherty! There isn't one boring second in "The Wrong Guy"! We heartily recommend this film to anyone who enjoys a great comedy! You won't be disappointed!

I've seen this film many years ago on TV and I remember that it made a huge impression on me. Today I watched it again, but I wasn't expecting much because I was maybe eight years old when I first saw this movie. Not only it was funny but it was also very interesting and also there was something magical about it that gave me such a worm feeling in my heart. I think that people who made it are really nice people. There is no jokes who could insult anybody (like most of the comedy films does) but it still was very funny, it's an innocent humor. Though there was some dirty jokes, I still think that this film is good to watch for all family. By the way - the stunts were great.

wow. who even knew this movie existed? well i was in virgin records and saw it on the shelf. suffice to say i rented it, and i LOVED it. i plan on buying it most likely. the beginning is a little slow but it's one of those comedies where you find yourself in tears by the middle. just terrific acting, especially by the investigator who loves to spend the gov't money on restaurants and theater - he really steals the show. seriously tho, if you enjoy great comedies with a silly edge - ex. The Naked Gun & Saving Silverman - you will enjoy this.by the way - the movie was fairly kid appropriate. i think ages 10+ should have no problems watching this.

I've been a fan of Dave Foley for a while since his days on KIDS IN THE HALL, the underrated and oft-forgotten Canadian SCTV/SNL-esque sketch show. Here his talents are wasted in a plot that tries to introduce SO many cliches that it isn't even funny. It starts out as a case of mistaken identity (geek framed for murder), escalates into an unfunny Fugitive parody with similarly geeky and overweight cops chasing him around, then finds its way into a corner and tries to escape by introducing a mandatory romantic interest subplot with Jennifer Tilly and her "father" (Joe Flaherty) being the subject of Foley's compassion.Ah, forget about it. Flaherty is pretty funny in his small role and it's always great to see character-comedians like Foley and Flaherty being given screen-time -- but unfortunately the whole just careens out of control and doesn't know where to go...
