The Wedding Ringer Trailers

Doug Harris is a loveable but socially awkward groom-to-be with a problem: he has no best man. With less than two weeks to go until he marries the girl of his dreams, Doug is referred to Jimmy Callahan, owner and CEO of Best Man, Inc., a company that provides flattering best men for socially challenged guys in need. What ensues is a hilarious wedding charade as they try to pull off the big con, and an unexpected budding bromance between Doug and his fake best man Jimmy.

2005's 'Hitch' starring Will Smith and Kevin James was a surprisingly big box office hit. So for another film ten years later to copy the concept makes sense. 'The Wedding Ringer' has a number of similarities to that film, mostly in terms of its two stars acting style and appearance. The problem however is that neither have close to the charisma or acting abilities or the previous two. Smith and James found a terrific chemistry and played off each other perfectly. Kevin Hart and Josh Gad on the other hand looked like they were in separate movies. They never found any common ground and were rarely able to make the audience laugh. The movie also had the potential to have some real heart with a strong ending. Instead though, it decides to throw everything out the window and leave you with what is really quite a bleak ending when you stop and think about it. A couple of good moments abound here and there. 'The Usual Suspects' spoof was brilliantly done and even gave me goosebumps, and the final line of the entire film was unquestionably the best of the lot. In between those moments though there's a lot of dull scenes that try to be either emotional or funny, and almost always fail to be either. Not a lot to see here.

The Wedding Ringer(2015) Starring: Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco, Affion Crockett, Jorge Garcia, Corey Holcomb, Ken Howard, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, Mimi Rogers, Aaron Takahashi, Olivia Thirlby, and Nicky Whelan Directed By: Jeremy Garelick Review He's the best man... Money can buy Dang, Kevin Hart I have message for you, please just stop trying to act and be funny. Because your not, your the equivalent to Tracey Morgan and a crappy Ice Cube movie. The Film is about Jimmy who provides best man services for socially challenged guys, who – for whatever reason – have no one close enough to agree to stand by them on the day of their wedding. Doug a groom-to-be, has found himself in just such a situation, but, to make matters worse, he fabricates the names of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy's services to carry out a charade designed to make Doug look his best, but threatens to destroy everything if it fails. These are on of those cash grabbing films that are thrown out in the month of January that is a tradition comedy starring an African American comedian who isn't funny. Last year was Ride Along which also starred Kevin Hart and now we have The Wedding Ringer, which you should already know is not funny. This is not an interesting film because it's basically wedding crashers with an even more stupid idea, and with lousy performances from actors who can and can not act. The only actor I have faith in when it comes to bringing their career back up with a good film is Josh Gad, but we'll just have to wait and see. And did I also forget to mention this is a Sony movie that came out in January, a month where nothing but crap comes out and from a studio I hate as much as I hate Michael Bay. The direction stinks as well. This film doesn't come well together to make a funny motion picture but more of a stupid one, I'm giving The Wedding Ringer a one out of five.

In any movie if you see a sidekick rule, that has to be the Kevin Hart. He can handle the whole movie by himself and this film is a great example. It totally surprised me, I expected it to be an average film, but it was an awesome comedy. We have seen plenty of bride and groom and marriage related comedies, but this was a slightly different yet a fantastic treat.I don't think it was wonderful because of the jokes alone, but unique characters and actors who performed them were brought the fine outcome. I felt like I know what's coming, but the ending was simple and smart. Like always when I like a movie a lot I hope for a sequel to come and they should make one for this as well. It's a Kevin Hart's time as a comedian, his top box office films are all from the recent time, so he must make use of it and I am expecting his upcoming projects. This is a perfect weekend movie to have some laughs. Middle finger to the film critics. I definitely recommended it not only for the film fanatics but all. Who knows you might find it much better than the recent 'Get Hard'.7½/10
