Slow pace in the most part of the movie.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

I feel the need to justify myself by saying that there was absolutely nothing on and found myself watching the SyFy channel . I wasn't expecting because we are talking about the SyFy Channel and was intrigued by SEA GHOST ( That's the title it was broadcast under ) and if I didn't like it I could always share my opinion on it with my faceless peers on IMDb . Unfortunately if I'd visited this page before seeing this dreadful piece of excrement I might have saved myself two hours of my life that I will never get back The bizarre thing is that SEA GHOST gets off to ... well I won't use the word " good " but it does seduce the audience in to thinking it might be better than it really is as the early scenes features a group of scientists examining some alien DNA they've found under the ocean surface . Suddenly the DNA comes to life and attacks the scientists . I say DNA but perhaps CGI would be a better expression since it's obvious how the effect is achieved . SEA GHOST contains perhaps the worse CGI I've ever seen in a film and I've seen a lot of movies on the SyFy Channel and this goes way beyond bad as an alien tentacle resembles something out of a kids cartoon . Things get even worse as it's revealed that the cartoonish CGI is only the second worst thing about the movie What really makes SEA GHOST stick out from its mediocre fellows is the lack of a focused storytelling genre. I thought I'd be watching the tried and trusted formula of a CGI monster chasing scientists around a ship but this isn't how it plays out . The scientists are killed off and new characters are brought in to carry the story . As the story continues there's scenes that belong in a totally different film . We get some soft porn , a Western sequence complete with the man with no name and an action scene set in Iraq . This is explained by a character stating something along the lines of " The alien must be able to read our thoughts and give us intense hallucinations " SEA GHOST is a film that gives the audience the impression that it's being written as it's going along . One is left perplex at the number of scenes that feel as if they've wandered in from a different genre never mind a different film . One wonders if the often laughable and inept CGI is either a symptom or the cause for the way the narrative constantly changes structure

Sounded interesting, so out of boredom stuck the DVD in and pressed play.Immediately realised the budget was about £500. Which I realised they blew on a 'porn star' to dance around topless at some point for no reason. The CGI was obviously created by a 7 year old, and directed by a deaf/dumb/blind/retard.To say the acting was wooden would upset a lot of forests. I could have come up with a better cast using William shatner, Patrick Stewart and various other people picked up from rehab clinics and mental asylums.Has anyone reading this seen Midnight Chronicles?? Well that was slightly better! This film was more than disappointing, it was abysmal... I can generally watch low budget films and poke fun at the end, but when the credits roll say to myself.. "hmmm that had a good plot etc..>" this film... NO - no redeeming factors.Avoid the thing below. As if it was a disease down below.

Nothing really special, scientists on a secret oil rig find a creature in the centre of the earth. A family member of mine thought she saw this at first because the beginning wasn't anything different than so many other movies of this genre.Completely unoriginal tentacle monster creature, with crappy 3D effects on the tentacles. Some plot errors I noticed. Considering supposedly this creature can create hallucinations based on what you want to see, why was it that that girl and old guy (I forgot their names, don't care to remember) were together and he could see her hallucination? Then all of a sudden HE'S THE ONE WHO INFECTS HER? That was weird, considering it didn't go after him in the first place. What happened when that guy like pulled him out of the hallucination where that other guy with the disk was being attacked by the monster (not to mention his voice was funny even though he was not yet infected). As well, it was pretty funny when I'm sure it wasn't intended to be the main source of "humour" in this movie. The scene with the cowboy was funny in a "why is this here? it doesn't even belong". The striptease scene was pure fan service. (Not that that is a bad thing, but really, it was just to keep the audience interested in such a dull film). The whole concept of a creature that have you hallucinations into deceiving others of your team into being infested is a good concept, too bad it was executed so poorly. The ending was crap, in fact, it didn't give any originality and looked as if the director just pulled a Generic Action/Adventure Movie Ending from the Hat. So they throw a bunch of explosives down the elevator (why would there even be a self-destruct device in a government research lab?) and then that explosion blows up the rig and creature with it, while they jump 30 metres into the cold water and hope to be rescued? Not to mention that kind of jump could break some bones in the process. So then they're on a ship, getting back to land, and all of a sudden the women who lost her husband (terrible acting on behalf when he was killed, I should note) turns into that other guy and is actually the monster! At first I thought there could be a sequel (please don't) and then I realized this movie probably bombed in theatres and I doubt the studio wants to make a sequel (of what, the creature invading a large American city like Boston and having a team of people try and kill it (hmm, sound familiar to this movie?) and finally killing it. Leaving you to think "What was the point of watching both of these movies" when they could have killed movie, instead of having to make another one that just has a different setting but the ending is slightly different.Though I didn't see the first 20 minutes of this movie (It was aired on SPACE as 'Sea Ghost') I know I didn't miss anything that even a moron could get from watching the rest of the movie.Overall, I would still recommend this movie if you want to laugh at its errors and mistakes. I enjoy these types of mock B-movies, love how nothing fits and they just throw bits and pieces in and call it a movie.

I am writing this review to warm others about this film. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Do not waste your time. As a friend of IMDb and my fellow movie commentators, I am sure that if this ever made it to the cinema, it flopped and the makers got rich from the 'bad movie' insurance because the box office receipts could not have exceeded fifty bucks. I am surprised the makers weren't picketed. The CG was just plain awful. There are scarier monsters in Super Mario from Nintendo. Don't even try to put this junk in the league with Leviathon, Deep Star Six, Deep Rising etc. which I would rate as pretty good 'B' films. It just may be worse than 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'. If I mentioned any details, I may be accused of adding a spoiler, but I won't even waste my and your time 'cause this flick is not spoiled, it is rotten to the core. The concept, even though played so many times and to a much higher level of sophistication, may have been OK with much improved CG, dropping the nudie scene, and a script re-write.Don't even waste your time unless you just want to take a peek for curiosity sake. If you do more than peek and hang to the end, I hate to say it, but you gotta get out more.
