That was an excellent one.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

An aging thief hopes to retire and live off his ill-gotten wealth when a young kid convinces him into doing one last heist. Despite a cast of talented people such as Robert De Niro (The Godfather Part II, Casino), Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk, American History X) and Marlon Brando (The Godfather, Superman: The Movie and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut) The Score does too little to keep it's viewers interested and even the experienced actors like De Niro and Brando were just meh in their roles on the other hand Norton's perfomance was good when he was passing as a mental health patient but other than that? The movie was boring and dull from start to finish (4.0/10)

If You Flinch when You Hear a Movie is a Slow-Burn, well, this is one that could be Definitive. Immersed in an Immense Minutia of Tradecraft connected with High-End Jewel Thieves, the Film Unfolds at a "Cool Jazz" Pace, and Literally a "Cool Jazz" Place.Robert Di Niro, Edward Norton, and Marlon Brando spar for Acting Honors, but the Truth is...it's a Tie. No One Actor outshines the other and it is Surprisingly, quite a Spectacle of Underplaying. It is this Level Playing Field where the Movie gets some of its Charm. Some may find it too Melancholy, but the Principles Involved in setting up the Heist are Skilled Professionals and are very Careful Operatives. Norton being the Youngest is the most Gregarious, but even He is Steady most of the time. One of the Highlights has Norton Playing a Mentally Challenged Character (a palsy victim janitor) to get access to the Crime Sight. It's Doubtful that Today this would even be Considered in a Politically Correct Environment. It's a Throwback to Crime Films of a Bye-Gone Era. Not for Everyone, but those with Patience and Strong Attention Spans will most likely get a Kick out of the Actors and Enjoy the Suspenseful Conclusion.

Slick but formulaic heist movie with obligatory twist thrown in at end. This is De Niro, Norton, and Brando simply cashing paychecks. Nothing really wrong here, but nothing compelling either--basically a throwaway film that doesn't hurt badly to watch. I needed a film to satisfy a wide spectrum of tastes, and this innocuous production was perfect, although I might never have watched it if I were alone. If you have nothing better to do, this is pretty much like a really well-made made-for-TV movie--it won't bother you, but it's a long, long way from great art.

Nick Wells (Robert De Niro) is a safe cracker living in Montreal. He's almost caught in the last caper and now his fence Max (Marlon Brando) tells him that the buyer is dead. Instead Max has a possible $40M job at the Montreal Customs House. Nick never does a job in country and he wonders if he should retire. Nick's girlfriend Diane (Angela Bassett) is a flight attendant. Jack Teller (Edward Norton) is the inside man. He's been pretending to be a mentally challenged janitor for 3 weeks. He surprises Nick on the street and Nick's not amused. The movie has 3 great actors and they should be able to chew up the scenes. However this is not very intense. That's deadly for a thriller. I can't pinpoint the exact problem other than a lack of tension. It could be the editing, or the lackluster music. I have to blame most of it on director Frank Oz. This is not his genre. He doesn't do action thrillers unless there are puppets involved. This movie could have worked 20 years ago but this genre should have more excitement.
