After an all-night graduation beach party, a group of hung-over students wakes up under the blazing sun to find their numbers somewhat depleted. An enormous alien creature has burrowed down deep and anyone foolish enough to make contact with the sand finds themselves at the mercy of a sea of flesh-eating tentacles. Will they ever be able to escape its carnivorous clutches?

To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

My favorite movies are B horror movies. I've watched a lot of them. As long as the acting is tolerable and the plot is decent, I can look over a cheesy monster or being able to tell it had a low budget. This movie was really good for what it was. The effects were good. The acting was good. The only part of the movie I didn't enjoy was the life guard. He was so annoying and no one would act that way in real life. I definitely think this movie is worth watching. If I really enjoy a movie, I'll watch it numerous times after I find it. I've watched this one many times.

I love to read reviews that give something like this more than one star, and try to picture the reviewer. Usually, Sloth from the Goonies comes first to mind. It's really pointless to try to separate these ScFy channel "films", they're all pretty much the same- inane plots, horrifically amateurish acting, static cinematography (endless reaction shots to something offscreen), jarringly different film formats from scene to scene, etc, etc, ad nauseum. This one was particularly silly and suspenseless, laughable special effects. It was awful.

This has a similar plot and layout to Blood Beach and also to a (I think,) twilight zone short in which swimmers in a lake are attacked by a floating bin sack.If you consider being able to shriek to be good acting then this is for you. There is absolutely no subtlety to either the acting or the plot and it is difficult to understand how a director could ever think this little opus was worth anything other than the trash can.Which makes me think that these rubbishy films are simply a tax avoidance scam – make a film that sucks but pay yourself a great fee so the tax on your finance is avoided but you still reap rewards. Plus the junk film gets rented out to cable and late night channels and you have an ongoing royalty income. Only after a person has watched the film do they realise that they just wasted 90 mins of their time.

It was not horrible but it wasn't great either, I probably could of found something better to watch. However,I watched it and the acting was mediocre, the plot was off putting to me for the most part, and seeing how long it took to make this really put things in prospective for me. Above anything else in the movie and everything else set aside, NO ONE picks up a slimy foreign object that needs two people to carry and that has never been seen, places it somewhere and forget about it 5 mins later. Moreover when the first character is suppose to die it would seem the second steals the spot light. More of a budget comedic horror film. I gave it a 4/10 cause it did keep me from being stupid bored.
