Lack of good storyline.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

This work is a disaster film with a difference: masses of people struck by a mysterious "sudden death" syndrome while others are left living to face the apocalypse predicted by the Book of Revelations. During this ordeal, a group of young friends - one of them about to be wed - are forced to survive a nightmarish situation while examining their feelings for each other, in a church, then a hospital, then an emergency shelter. Most of them don't survive, and the ending, as vast Biblical loci descend from the sky toward the emergency camp, is ambiguous as to who will survive. This film is fairly well-done; it's special effects effective, the chaos well-conveyed via hand-held camera. The characters were not original but believable. What made me queasy was the the apocalypse itself. Horror is visited upon people who aren't actually sinners, but simply lax in their beliefs (one character, a doubting pastor, says those who were initially struck dead were mankind's purest). This apocalypse, it seems, pushes those doubting or indifferent to faith toward belief, a "white light" representing God. But they were good people whatever and hardly responsible for blasphemy or evil. The film doesn't show bad or dubious people being punished; thus, the punishment doesn't fit the "crime." Of course, it's realistic even in this film's context to remind one it's always the little people who suffer the worst.

Now for you people criticizing the movie for being a Christian or "religious" film that's not the movies fault! is yours for not doing your research !!!!!!!! ,and for the movie ehhh me personality i think if you are going to make a film about the rapture then you should try ,and make it a little more accurate . its OK to watch it if you want a small glimpse of what the rapture may be ,but i think you should just read your bible :) "its more credible " & god bless you if you read this !

Very cool movie, perfect for people that like stuff like FINAL: THE RAPTURE and Thief in the Night, movies that I personally love. I find the overall atmosphere endearing at first and tense at the right times. If you are not a born again Christian, if you are a atheist or if you hate God, you are going to hate this movie. For the rest, enjoy it, it is a very well made End of Times horror Christian movie, if such thing is possible =) But yes, Thief in the Night had some horror elements, much scarier than real horror movies really, cause it relies more on tense and serious subjects than on blood. This movie is certainly way edgier than the old Thief in the Night series, and yes, the soundtrack is not Christian at all. But if you want a apocalyptic fix, look no further. If you do not hate God with all your heart, you will probably enjoy this very much =)

This movie is a complete joke, don't even bother wasting your time watching it. Did I mention the actors, all of them... are horrible?Jeeze, what were the producers thinking yo, take this film off. Should be in some old shelf and should be forgotten.And no I'm not hating because of any of it's Christian aspects okay? I'm a extreme Christian myself, who goes to church every Sunday, but this one was a joke. The effects were pretty cheap and the actors must been pretty cheap too.Waste of film. I will admit Johnny Pacar, Shaun Sipos, Bryan Dechart, John Ferguson, Erin Murphy and Rochelle Acyoth were excellent actors.The rest were horrible and shouldn't even be acting, the actors I listed are the reason why I actually saw this as a movie, the rest seemed like your average amateurs from your old school theaters.Gross.SHOULD YOU WATCH IT?NO.Sidenote...The people who says this movie is good are either family members of the people who contributed to this movie or just people who doesn't know what a real movie is.
