Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

A poorly animated, completely unfunny kids comedy about a selfish squirrel who learns nothing, willing to do anything (including lying, stealing and mistreating his friends) in order to bypass a tyrannical raccoon "villain" whose main crime is...storing food for the winter for all his furry friends? And of course there's an animated Psy dancing to Gangnam Style during the credits. Because Hollywood hates you and your children.

Honestly this movie was disappointing, especially after all the good things I heard about it. The textures in this movie were so terrible that I couldn't stop getting annoyed watching them. Same jokes, same action. Feels like the whole plot was dull and made up within a lunch break. Characters don't stick and by the end you don't feel very connected to anything. You don't get that feeling of satisfaction or emptiness after a movie ends, no emotions whatsoever, and that to me is a failed movie. For children though, it's alright, but even kids had enough nut jokes in one hour...

In an Oakton city park opposite the bank, Surly the Squirrel (Will Arnett) is an outcast with his rat partner Buddy often stealing nuts from everybody. Raccoon (Liam Neeson) is the manipulating leader of the park and he finds the nut storage at a low. He sends out squirrels Andie (Katherine Heigl) and Grayson (Brendan Fraser) to take from a newly arrived nut vendor cart. Surly refuses to cooperate. The cart vendor turns out to be the lookout for a bank robbery. The stolen cart is launched into the tree burning it down. Surly is banished from the park.Animation has advanced so far that this is really only good for a TV movie on one of those kids channels. The animation is kind of grimy at times but it's good enough for TV. Surly is a rogue character. His sidekick Buddy needs to have a comedic voice. In order to create better group chemistry, he needs to invite Andie to join him in the caper. Also they already broke into the place before which makes breaking in again and again not as interesting. The caper isn't quite as fun as it should be. The start is fine but it gets repetitive. It just gets tiresome and the short running time feels over-extended.

The Nut Job us an animated movie, it has quite a bit of action that young children would enjoy. This movie is rated PG, (parental guidance) The Nut Job is a very positive movie that may impact a child's look on how animals survive. This movie may also teach children that even if a person (animal in this case) is mean to you in the beginning, if you keep trying they may warm up to you and you will have a new friend. In the movie The Nut Job a squirrel, and a friend who is a rat try to get into the towns biggest nut shop, so them along with all of their friends in the park have enough nuts to last them the winter. When they soon realize that there is a watch dog, the watch dog barks at the squirrel and rat whenever they enter the shop. The animals make their way to the basement of the shop, where the movie takes an unexpected turn. I hope you will find out if they made it through the Winter!
