Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

I am from Barrie Ontario and folks out here are big fans of Frank D'Angelo. A Canadian icon who has once again created a classic. This is my kind of gangster film for sure. Hardcore, great story line bad ass characters, and acting legends! I loved the realistic elements to this film, most scenes just felt like someone had a camera on a real gang of thugs. Although D'Angelo created characters that were lovable regardless of their occupation or criminal intent Bottom line movie was awesome and I can't wait till the next D'Angelo film.

I feel like D'Angelo is putting Toronto on the map for film! I saw this at the Scotia Theatre and I watched because I know Frank is a Torontonian. It makes me proud to support his work but he definitely needs to do a movie set in Toronto! Hey the movie was great! Classic gangster story, good acting, good music. Only thing, too long! I think it could have not necessarily ended sooner but told the story with fewer scenes. Not complaining though, I enjoyed every minuet. I even bought the soundtrack online, seriously the guy makes good tunes. Great work! Can't wait for the next one !

We went to see this at the Berkeley 7 in WV. Not a bad movie at all, I mean at first i thought it was just another Hollywood feature, no idea this was done from the man who played Angelo Donatello, that is definitely impressive considering it was better than the last 5 Hollywood films I've seen in theaters. I think my favorite part is the music, not because it adds to the story just because it really is my kind of music. I also thought the acting was really good. It didn't seem like acting it just seemed like real life. I know that it is a direction most actors are going towards to create a real feel to any story and this was definitely it. didn't think i would cry in a gangster film but definitely cried at the end when..... well you just watch it and see! Loved it, thought some scenes could have been omitted though, but for the most part great movie.

They say fine wine gets better with age, we'll the same can be said with Frank D'Angelo films. Every film that he produces gets even better the last and The Neighborhood delivers on every cylinder - story, cast, music and creativity. The Neighborhood is raw and edgy which is a typical D'Angelo film style in the way he shoots and frames his characters. The story is authentic and the actors that he's chosen for the main roles to tell his story are heavy weights that deliver knock out punches; Franco Nero (Django Unchained), Giancarlo Giannini (Casino Royale), Burt Young (Rocky), John Savage (The Deer Hunter) and these are just a few. I have seen most of Frank D'Angelo's movies and I am a fan of his style, of movie-making, which is not typical Hollywood. He continues to break the rules which makes his movies so interesting to watch. Like David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, Quentin Tarantino, they created masterpieces of art. This is Frank D'Angelo's latest piece of art and I look forward to his next.
