Tied for the best movie I have ever seen
... View MoreNice effects though.
... View MoreAll of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
... View MoreThe storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
... View MoreGet it? LAME-borhood! AHAHAHAHAAH! I know I know, terrible joke, but it's still a billion times better than anything Frank D'Angelo has ever done in his entire life. This "movie" sucks.
... View MoreSaw this at villagio in Tampa for a ladies night out. My favorite movie ever is Goodfellas (Still is) But The Neighborhood Is definitely a new school version of an old school gangster movie. The music was great and I know that Frank D'Angelo performs it all , I've already bought the CD online. *Side note The guy also wrote directed and starred in the movie plus did all the music? who the heck has the time or energy ! Watch this movie if you really just want to see a classic, I personally am tired of Hollywood hoopla so this was refreshing. I haven't seen any of his other movies but I think I will now that I know what this guy has to offer. Welcome to the neighborhood !
... View MoreI watched The Neighborhood in California with a friend, he is a big fan of Frank D'Angelo's films and was all excited about this new film as it was having a big theatrical release, so he insisted we go see it. I did not know what to expect, I have never seen one of his films but since Danny Aiello and a lot of other actors that I recognized were starring in it I figured it must be decent. Well, there were lots of people in the theater so that was a good sign. I am glad that he pushed for us to see the film because it's a great film and we enjoyed it extremely. After the movie, we started reciting the lines from different scenes to each other just like we did with Good Fellas and The Godfather. We had a great night, with a very memorable movie. Can't wait until it comes to television or DVD so I can watch it again.
... View MoreSaw this because I used to watch Franco Nero in old spaghetti westerns and I just wanted to relive my youth.I heard About Frank D'Angelo as amateur film maker but this movie was not amateur. It was different, reminded me of when filmmakers tried to be artsy and edgy. Common gangster story but the acting was some old school, classic acting that I haven't seen since I watched Goodfellas. Franco Nero is a legendary man but I cant deny Giancarlo Giannini, brilliant. This Was something different, for sure I would watch another D'Angelo film as long as he doesn't sell out and become commercial like everyone else.
