I had seen this movie when it was out. I regretted my ticket and even now I have a lot of issues with this movie. My first and biggest issue is the protagonist: Nicholas Cage?!?!?! Don't judge me, I don't hate the actor and find him fun, but he doesn't fit here. Ghost Rider is a sympathetic character that is forced to a life of loneliness and Nicholas Cage isn't the best for that kind of role. Other than that, the movie is slow, visually uninteresting and worst of all has little to no action. The Ghost Rider has a weird look and whenever he appears he mostly just sits around and stares. I don't know what happened, but you have a flaming skeleton that is the Devil's soul collector and you make a boring movie with no action? What happened? To whoever reads this, please skip this one and if you want to see a more enjoyable Ghost Rider see Agents of SHIELD.

I wanted to like the first Ghost Rider movie I really did but when you've got Mark Steven Johnson directing there isn't much you can do to save the film. When I found out he wasn't directing the sequel I thought that maybe the sequel would be okay, I was wrong. This movie much like Batman and Robin is a guideline for what not to do when making a comic book movie. There was a time when Nicholas Cage giving an over the top performance was entertaining as hell but in this film it just tiresome, and he's still one of the better actor in this God awful movie because he at least knows how to act he might not do it well but he knows how to. These other actors, no disrespect to them as people, don't seem to know what they are doing especially that annoying kid. The CGI in this is sort of hard to look at, I mean how do you have a budget this big and still make such terrible effects, did they use up all the money on the Ghost Rider's skull which I admit does look kind of cool. My biggest complaint in this movie full of things to complain about is the forced comedy like that joke about the flamethrower. I know they were trying to make the film more lighthearted but they should of just embraced the darkness of the Ghost Rider source material. This is easily not just one of the worst comic book movies I've ever seen but also just one of the worst films I've ever seen and with all the crap I've seen that's saying something. My advice to anyone who's thinking about watching this, don't.

although this is the second film in the Ghost Rider series,it's not a sequel per SE.it's a standalone film, and in that regard I found it to be very entertaining.you don't have to see the first one to know what's going on.Nic age returns of course,as the title character.he does a good job again,no surprise.the supporting players are all very good as well.on a side note,i thought the special were not as well done as in the first film, but that's just me.anyway back to the supporting cast.Violante Placido(probably most recently known from the Transporter TV series)plays the female lead/sort of romantic interest, acquits herself quite well, stealing most of the scenes she is in.Idris Elba(Star Trek Beyonnd and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarök)lends strong support here,as well.Johnny Whitworth (the TV series The 100 and the TV series Blindspot)is the comic relief and I found him very funny.Ciarán Hinds plays the main villain to good effect.Fergus Riordan plays Danny.i hope they will make a third film down the road.for me aside from the Dodgy special effects-(a minor complaint) I liked this film.for me,Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is an 8/10

I can't say I enjoyed the 2007 Ghost Rider film. It wasn't the worst, but it wasn't good - it was mediocre. Despite seeing lots of negative reviews about Ghost Rider 2 I still decided to check it out. And I kinda liked it. First I am going to write the things I like about Ghost Rider 2. Note that I have read none Ghost Rider comics.1)Nicolas Cage's acting had some very funny bits.2)The Ghost Rider looks better.3)The action was great.4)There were some very funny moments.5)Moreau was a great character6)Ghost Rider defeating the main antagonist was goofy and funny! Now let's see what I didn't liked about the film.1)The acting at times.2)The film is sequel, though Ghost Rider's origin story was different like the writers or the directors haven't seen the first one.3)The main antagonist wasn't cool.4)The first moment with Ghost Rider feels like the makers needed to make the film longer so they put plenty unnecessary moments.5)At times the writing was bad.6)When Roarke give Ray Carrigan super powers things start to make no sense and this isn't explained.7)Ray Carrigan's death is a bit disappointing. At least Roarke's defeat was funny!8)The plot was weak at times.Overall the film is kinda a guilty pleasure for me. I felt it was more entertaining than the first one, though I feel that more effort was put into the first one. Overall I give Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance from Bad 1 to Excellent 6 GOOD 3.75, which is GOOD 4 but not quite. I wasn't paid to enjoy the film, I just had fun with it.
