How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

We (my family and I) got the VHS tape for this movie and it wasn't until recently I got it on blu-ray and watched it again. When I watched Simba's Pride for the first time and time passed after my last viewing, I forgot a lot. But after watching it again, it had my undivided attention. One of my online friends said she couldn't stand it and claimed it was overrated, while some of the other folks among the online community said it was overrated too. But it's nice as a sequel and I wanted to see more of Simba's adventures on the savannah. And Kiara and Kovu stole the show. Now we have The Lion Guard and it continues the adventures of everyone's favorite African animals. But this is a little better. It felt sappy at parts but on the whole it's a decent sequel along with other big-screen sequels such as The Mummy Returns and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. But I say give it a chance!

It's hard to compere yourself to the first Lion King movie, this's probably the reason why IMDb rating is a little low. It's still one of the best Disney sequel I ever seen. There's nothing to be a shame off, I believe that most Lion King fans will love this film. This time, the inspiration for this movie is the story Romeo and Juliet- the tragedy written by the great William Shakespeare- nothing new here, but still done very well. Our beloved characters are still hear, only without Scar and the Hyenas. The new villain are enjoyable, I love Nuka the most, he only want his mother (Zira) affection and not matter how much he try, it's doesn't work. I love story between Kiara and Nala (style Romeo and Juliet), we seen more from Rafiki, Pumbaa and Timon and of course adult Simba. The songs are wonderful, even for non-sequel movies, no Elton John, but they pick great singers for the movie- maybe the biggest surprise. It's true, the movie don't have the same pace and charm, as the first one, but it's entertainment, with a lot of references to the first movie. The sequel bring honor to the 1994 classic film. Lion King fans will love this one, if they give the movie the chance it deserve.7.5/10

This movie is the sequel of "Lion King", where Simba is now mature and has a daughter. Directed by Darrell Rooney and Rob LaDuca, with a script by Flip Kobler and his team, the film features the voices of Matthew Broderick, Neve Campbell, Andy Dick and Suzanne Pleshette.I wasn't displeased with this film. The way it picks up the original and gives it a continuation is nice, solving situations poorly explained in the first because they have no interest for its story, as to what happened to supporters of Scar. The script is simple, it almost copies half of the original plot, but it works well. Nevertheless, there are certain elements that remain unanswered and that appear in this film but not in the original. The characters are well designed, but most of them come from the first film. The work of voices, such as cinematography and the color, is excellent. It has good comic and dramatic tension, harmonizing and compensating each other, ensuring that will please both children and adults. The songs are very good, as expected of the sequel of "Lion King", a film that contains some of the most beautiful songs from Disney's movies. It's a movie for everyone, and can be seen by everyone.

Almost as good as the first film - this sequel is well worth watching! Simba is very much like his father Mufasa in a lot of ways but still in need of his father's guidance. The older Simba gets the more he finds himself sounding and acting like Mufasa in this animated fun filled adventure.Timon and Pumbaa are just as funny as ever... along with those hyenas. Rafiki the mandrill is still strange. The two cute characters Kiara and Kovu's relationship is much like Nala and Simba when they were young.I would recommend watching the first Lion King film then watching Lion King 2. The Lion King 1 1/2 is also a great film in this series.9/10
