TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Two years after the bachelor party in Las Vegas, Phil, Stu, Alan, and Doug jet to Thailand for Stu's wedding. Stu's plan for a subdued pre-wedding brunch, however, goes seriously awry. The Hangover Part II recycles the exact same plot just like the original but it's a rare recycle of a comedy Franchise that actually works although not as much as the first time for sure. The perfomances once again were very good by the 3 main leads but also i enjoyed Paul Giamatti's role too. It's a film that has it's flaws but it's also a fun sequel as well. (7.5/10)

The Hangover Part II is a continuation of the same title released in 2009 movie, the premise is the same as the first, the difference is what goes on in Hancock, all the actors from the first film is back, Doug character appears little as in the first film, but now it is not so important in the film's plot, but the brother of Stu, Chow has increased participation in this film, unfortunately the Hangover Part II is much lower than its predecessor, the film is less funny, is unnecessary scenes, and few moments are funny, the scene at the club is even good, plus most are bland, like the monk of time I found it very bland, the direction of Todd Phillips is more absent, and script had no creativity, he practically took the plot of the first film, and put somewhere else instead of Las Vegas, and put another character as a key piece, the Hangover part II is much lower than the first film, has some funny moments, more in yes the film is full of scenes bland and no creative script. 5.2

This time around, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Alan (Zach Galifianakis), and Doug (Justin Bartha) actually fly all the way to Thailand where Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married. Still stinging from their Vegas adventure, Stu decides to have his bachelor party at an IHOP; unfortunately, it doesn't turn out that way. Just like the first movie, we see the guys raise their glasses and then we see them after another party. This time, Phil and Alan are on the floor, Alan's hair is gone, and Ed is passed out in the bathtub with a tattoo on his face. Oh, and Stu's 16-year old future brother-in-law is missing.Clearly, director and co-writer Todd Phillips was given a lot bigger budget this time around and the money can be seen on the screen. Beautiful Thailand locations are a plus, but the whole thing could have just as well have taken place in Vegas. This story would have worked in Vegas or Manhattan or anywhere local...I guess the idea of bringing the boys to Thailand was supposed to make the proceedings more substantial, but it still seems to be much to do about nothing. The actors still work well together, with standout work from Helms and Galifianakis and there's a scene stealing turn from a cigarette smoking monkey, and Ken Jeong's character redefines the word annoying, but if you liked the first film, you will probably like this one too.

In 2009, The Hangover shocked me by being spectacular and being one of my favourite comedies ever. 2011 saw its sequel which people thought would surpass the first. I knew it would not. With low expectations like the first, I was very impressed. I wouldn't say this is better than the first at all, but I will say it is a nice confident. The guys are back and the danger is higher.Stu (Helms) is about to get married in Thailand, his fiancée's native land. Ready to have a nice, regular time with his best friends, (Cooper, Galifinakis, Bartha) and soon to be brother in law, Teddy, Alan takes a dislike to Teddy and sets off a string dangerous encounters, leaving him and his friends with no memory and Teddy missing. Lost in a much bigger city with bigger crimes, Stu's wedding becomes more jeopardized than Doug's.The first flaw I found was the scenes with frontal male nudity. I also didn't see why Justin Bartha had little screen time in this one too. Right before anything bad happens, he leaves the area to be with his wife who is sick and the family. Bartha was involved in Broadway plays, so I understand why they used less of him, but there's lots of people on Broadway and other things that still do full movies. The last flaw was how recycled everything was. Since the stuff used was very funny, I didn't mind. But that kept me from finding this better. There may be more danger, but it revolves around the same things. One thing I did like was Teddy's whereabouts. It is a more complex and less predicable place than Doug's in the first.
