Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

... View MoreIt's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
... View MoreIt’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
... View MoreWanted something fresh? A new take on the tired road trip formula? An utterly memorable experience? Then stop reading, go out in the car and make your own road trip memories. This is as standard as it gets. Two opposing personalities in the same vehicle driving across America, where situations occur for comedic purposes. A rivalry rages from the start until they grow to like each other. I've seen it before, you've seen it before, we've all seen it before...unfortunately executed more efficiently. When you bring in talented actors like Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis who are able to deliver smart comedic roles, and then utilise them for stupid grotesque crude humour...you can't help but feel bored. Wasted potential. The characters never grow during this raucous trip to Los Angeles. They are simply a means for physical comedy, and it just comes across as lazy. Sure there are a few scenes that garner a snigger, one that crops to mind is a gun's trigger accidentally getting pulled. Yet, I shouldn't be this bored. Supporting characters played by Michelle Monaghan and Jamie Foxx were underused. The situations that the characters are positioned into feel forced and coincidental, such as accidentally driving to the Mexican border crossing. I can say that the chemistry between Downey Jr and Galifianakis was, whilst purposely opposing, a fitting match. They worked well together and clearly had some fun. It just seemed like ever since Todd Phillips directed 'The Hangover', he can just use the same jokes and humour in everything, therefore a sense of familiarity which of course is a detriment. Due Date is watchable no doubt about it, but the standard formula is all too familiar and left me wanting more laughs...much more. Plus, the amount of spitting in people and dogs faces was ridiculously excessive. Keep your saliva to yourself, it's not funny and it's not clever. Urgh, and we wonder why people get ill...
... View MoreIt's pretty funny with good acting by nearly everyone...but there are MANY places where the situations are SOO contrived in order to get to the next section of the plot that it's just completely stupid. Like in the beginning ...all the things that happen on the plane are just plain dumb...really...this would never happen. EVER...come on writers use some creativity...that's what you get paid for. not this banal BS.../please.
... View MoreRobert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, at first I thought that can't be a good match, and it isn't, it isn't because they don't match but that's what makes it so great.I can't explain precisely what it is, but they are great together, really funny in each their own way. I don't hope Galifianakis is as bad socially as his character, but he plays the role so good, he must have had experience or investigated a lot :) And Jr. really is an asshole as only he can portray it, but has some really loving and special sides especially when he is stoned. They will definitely have a very special friendship from now one, both in the sequel and in real life.
... View Moreseriously i enjoy comedy films but this one is a pile of nonsense directed by Todd Philips this no talent hack has never made a good film in his life the hangover series are pure example of how lame this filmmaker is i am sorry if anyone finds it offensive i can't just believe it that a lot of people actually like this film.the cast is pure waste may i ask what the hell was Robert Downey Jr doing here this guy is a fantastic actor rich or broke he should have never accepted this script its a spat on his career,Jamie Foxx just appears for a few moments his only funny moment comes during the coffee drinking scene & Zack Galifianakis is a annoying person plus the worst actor ever along with Christoph Waltz yes i said it Waltz is overrated if you look at both of these actors methods they always smile for no reason even in serious situations and force it too much,i have lost hope in Michelle Monaghan she used to be a top class actress of our times it is sad to see this lady wasting her talents.i caught this 2 or 3 times running on the TV i actually though it would be funny if i would see the whole film after renting it but i was wrong the plot & characters just don't go nowhere & comedy don't bother Robert Downey Jr's character responds to a spoiled kid by punching him in the stomach OK lets say the kid deserved it or not but here is next big thing the masturbation scene Ethan does it and his dog follows it,now the only scene i liked in the entire film was the grand canyon scene i though he was going to make a joke on character of tom cruise in Mi2 called Ethan Hunt & how his name is similar to him but thank god he didn't.the story:yeah right like this film even had one anyway it is about Peter a guy who wants to return to his home but because idiot named Ethan on the flight things go wrong he is left with nothing & has only option left to take a road trip ride with Ethan.from the start it's a predictable film you know whats gonna happen even before the opening credits hit the screen this is a train wreck of a film i tolerated it only because of Robert Downy Jr i don't know what was he thinking desperately trying to prove himself that he is better at doing comedy too well off course he is no doubt about it the thing i like about in his acting is it involves a lot of hidden sarcastic tones he uses it very well in many situations if you listen to him a lot you will see what i mean his dialog timing is flawless take any of his films serious or fun filled i mean it he can do all types of roles his range is massive it was simply embarrassing to see him here.i don't know how this film is being called or classified into the comedy genre if this is comedy then i have lost my faith in this world, you want great comedy try Pulp Fiction 1994 a timeless classic crime comedy ill be putting my disc back in the DVD to watch it again as this just gave me a bad taste in the eyes.Overall Due Date 2010 is a assault on brain film if you are a patient or something please do not watch this film at any cost it is worst then having a brain hemorrhage at least you will recover from that but after watching this crap no chance in hell this is a one way ticket to coma"Nuff Said" my rating is 2/10:Skipp It
