The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The following review contains several spoilers!I watched this relatively hard to find film last year after seeing the trailer and having some interest in the overall concept of the Lizzie Borden Urban legend. The main character in the film is Cassy who is fixated on a woman called Lizzie Borden who many years previously was accused of the gruesome murders of her parents although she was never convicted of the crimes.Cassy resides in the old house which Lizzie Borden and her family once lived and attends a college where she becomes friendly with a female professor who seems to take more than just a liking towards her!A group of college students are carrying out a project on what really happened between Lizzie Borden and her family and the argument as to whether she did really kill her parents and if so her motives for doing so.During this time Cassy is becoming more and more mentally unstable and she takes over the role of how Lizzie Borden was portrayed as a cold blooded killer, When prom night arrives Cassy kills the college students one by one and a few other characters in the film equipped with an ax as her main choice of weapon.Cassy playing the killer is not very convincing although she does provide some comedy one liners which accumulates in a battle against one of the female college students! This film for me did not have many horror elements in it, There were a few bloody kills although others could have been more realistic. The killer was more funny than scary and she never lost her temper as if killing was just like a walk in the park. I also think the killer's house could have been used more during some of the films final scenes.I would give this film 5 out of 10 and would say that it is the best horror film in the Lizzie Borden series.

(Not that there's anything to spoil, but I'm disturbed by how many negative comments about this movie have gotten deleted, so I decided to cover my bases. Moving on . . .) It was late. I was tired. My friend and I were working on a project of some kind or another. We put this on in the background so we'd have something to fill the room's oppressive quiet. Conclusion: better to go with silence. This isn't the B-rated movie it pretends to be. It's not C-rated. It's not F-rated. It's an insult to ratings. It's an insult to letters.Yes, the movie has a shoestring budget, but the film's creators and sparse apologists hide behind this detail, and use it to excuse their blunders. This annoys me to no end. First, I have known many a film student who's done tremendously more with tremendously less, and this piece of garbage gives their efforts a bad name. It's a disgrace to every piece of something that ever came out of nothing, and it spreads that bad name through the inexplicable medium of Netflix.Secondly, you can only blame the budget for so much garbage before the argument starts wearing thin. Sure, special effects will probably look cheesy no matter how hard you try, but when your movie manages to hit every false note in creation, and hits it multiple times, it begins to bespeak a much bigger problem than a mere dearth of dollars and cents. For me, the worst part of the experience was watching the movie (if you can even call it that) and waiting for the ax-wielding protagonist to pull off a single believable swing. And I'm not trying to come across like a backwoods elitist critiquing the subtleties of technique. I'm talking about tangible proof that anyone involved in the production had ever once in their lives seen a human being swing an ax, in person or on screen. I remember thinking I'd forgive the movie for all its countless offenses if once, just one solitary time, I'd see Lizzie swing the ax without holding the handle at both ends, see her swing it in such a way that her victim got something more serious than a light dent in the center of their foreheads.Needless to say, it didn't happen, and I still feel sick.

If you are someone looking for that rare, cheesy but Fun horror Flick amid the wave of releases, Lizzie Borden 2 is worth checking out. I thought this movie was a lot of good, silly, rousing fun. Sure, it's a Lower Budget B-movie Slasher, but it does the trick and delivers in spades, :) What about the story ? Hell, who needs a story if you got all these little nuggets We've got: The insane Hatchet Happy Cassie Channeling Lizzie Borden, Hot College chicks running around Dressed to impress,Very caring overly concerned Touchy Feely Teachers(that covers the Steamy lesbian Angle) Bronzed Aussie Exchange Students(packing Heat), Roid Rage Quarter Backs That don't understand No means no, I could go on but trust me you get your moneys worth. All up this sequel really does a good job complimenting the first and has some really well done touches in the way of slain characters from the first coming back to haunt Cassie's tortured mind, hats off to screenwriter Jeremiah Campbell as well With Lines Like "No Smoking" bellowed by Randal Malone to a blood soaked Monte hunter. Suspend your disbelief at the door and you will find yourself smiling and laughing at this B-Grade Horror

Its a low budget film about LIZZIE BORDEN yet set in modern times. Don't be dogging on it...because honestly... when the plot for a film says that Lizzie Borden shows up at the prom, what do you expect??!!Take it for what its worth, enjoy the hot girls, laugh at the extensive fake blood, have a drink or two, and enjoy it. Don't hate on low-budget slasher films. They are made with a lot of heart :)
