It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Don't know why some people didn't appreciate this film. The action, spooky effects, begin early and keep up right to the end - and do not miss the graphics at the end with the credits either. The film is like Paranormal Witness on steroids. And the weird post-industrial landscape with pylons and desert where the film is mainly set in just adds to the atmosphere. Definitely one to watch, especially in a dark room with just the telly on. What happens to the house, even the furniture, is just amazing. You've really got to watch what happens to the stair banisters and that sideboard towards the end, and before that the guy on the ceiling, well that was really tense too. And the bit where the camera is dragged towards the tent in the garden. Also when this woman ends up in a deserted DIY type store but there's just something not quite right about how the store looks, apart from being weirdly closed yet she got in there somehow. Any way as said above this film is just one scare after another and must be seen.

One of the finest horror films produced in the last 25 years. With incredibly powerful imagery and superb direction, this is a fantastically visionary film of tremendous import. With performances of such excellence they demand to be viewed and cinematography of such stunning beauty that it pushes beyond the limits of any camera, this is one film that deserves to be widely seen. One can not help but be staggered by the screenplay, the implications of the story to humanity, and the overall artistry of this cinema presentation. Thanks to the Chiller Channel, these seldom seen masterpieces are being presented to awestruck viewers on a daily basis. At last, some of the most horrific motion pictures are being seen when before, one had to risk hard earned cash to view them. To see such overwhelmingly artistic films from imaginative directors is well worth Chiller's inclusion in any overpriced cable bill.

Over here in my country this flick really had some promotion. it's normal because they tried to clock in on the success of the Twilight saga having Ashley Greene (Kelly) in the main lead. The flick itself is categorised under horror and in fact it is a horror but one for the new generation. You know, low on horror itself even as it has a few good moments. It also involved a shower scene with Ashley but being made for youth, nothing is shown. It's all about a ghost appearing at the house were Kelly lives. When it enters her live it do works and the ghost delivers some scary moments (for youth) but overall it's a low ride for the real buffs. Although it never had any boring moments it lacks of real horror. But I can guess that youth will love this. It do has some shots that will remind you of the Paranormal Activity franchise. the acting itself was above mediocre and the score did it's work too. Nicely shot and edited. The best moment is between the 50 minute and a hour, there we have a mixture between Paranormal Activity and the Japanese ghost flicks. Towards the end Tom Felton (Patrick) of Harry Potter fame comes in, do I need to say more, a new school horror. And for the Goth geeks, watch the T-shirts and the posters on the wall. Gore 0/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2,5/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 0/5

I read the reviews before I saw the movie, and it's one you really have to check out for yourself. It has some excellent visuals, appealing shots, and really nice editing- definitely above average, especially for this genre. It had different/creative takes on scary scenes, which I love and found refreshing. Tom Felton was the better actor by far and I wish his role had been bigger. I'm glad this genre is evolving to focus more on story and this movie does. I thought a balance between the scary stuff that makes you jump and story would've improved the experience. I enjoyed it, and just ordered it on Amazon to add to my collection.
