OK, I first bought this on DVD and thought it was pretty good, but was annoyed by all the interviews and having some songs cut off. Imagine how annoyed I was when I found out that the VHS and Laser Disc versions had more songs and none were cut off. So, beware which version you get. That said, this video showcases some of the best improvisational rock/blues you will ever hear. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, the Dickey Betts instrumental gets a full treatment and of course a show ending Whipping Post that will melt your brain. Warren Haynes and Allen Woody not only revived the Allman Brothers Band, but they transformed them into one of the best live acts out there. For die hard fans, buy both the DVD and VHS (or laserdisc), others, settle for the VHS.

Incredible sound! Okay lighting! But who cares, these guys look so cool just standing there playing they're butts off. I don't think they even notice if there's an audience out there. (If I was in a bar fight I would definitely want this video playing on the bar screen behind me). "oh yeah" It's great to watch the band at the highlight of their long and tortured career. warren Haynes & Allen Woody saved the group from the classic rock oldies status and made them a threat to the 90's no talent grunge stars everywhere. All musicians should watch this again & again.
