The first traditionally animated feature in Thailand, The Adventure of Sudsakorn (1979) has aesthetically pleasing art direction and exquisite traditional music. It is creative and filled with plenty of endearing characters such as lovely animals, dancing flowers and sea creatures.Although I do not understand most of the words said by the characters in the movie, it's easy to tell that intense efforts have been put to produce The Adventure of Sudsakorn (1979). From the visuals and animations to the characters and world creations, it's exceedingly detailed even by today's standard. The story of this animated feature might be difficult to capture if we do not know the Thai language and the epic Phra Aphai Mani itself but still, the beautiful music and genuine emotions will give us a clue and it is quite an enjoyable watch! It is truly a wonder that the director is able to produce this even though there is very little resources for this project; Mr. Payut Ngaokrachang deserve a lot of respect!
