Overrated and overhyped
... View MoreIt's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
... View MoreIf you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

... View MoreAnyone who is not from Lithuania or have seen a single decent Hollywood movie will hate this movie right from the beginning. You see, this movie was produced by Lithuanians. To Lithuanian standards this movie is good but to the rest of the world this is a low quality Tier 2 TV film at best. There is a good reason for that. The plot is a copycat of famous comedy crime movies such as Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels or RocknRolla. Ant it's implemented very very poorly. The story line is so predictable and editing is so wannabe Quentin Tarantino/ Guy Richie that you will turn it off before it reaches it's first 30 minutes I guarantee. Any 5/10 IMDb rated Hollywood movie is 10x better and more interesting than this Lithuanian movie. If you are not a Lithuanian please watch the movie. I hope you give it a rating that it truly deserves and maybe then the director will give a second thought to his work. He will thank you later.
... View MoreThe only thing wrong with the film to me is that it was 99 minutes too long. At 51 minutes I had seen enough and refused to finish. How a movie like this scores anything over a 2 must be Hollywood. I love movies, but this was so bad to me I couldn't even finish watching it, and even movies I think are bad I at least watch until rolling credits appear. NOT this one. If you are looking for comedy I would suggest finding some old Laurel & Hardy films. At least they could pull "comedy" off. This was anything but funny to me. The only reason I gave it a "1" is because there was no way to vote "0". I guess my review for movies is just my own opinion. I do usually look at the IMDb rating of a film before I purchase the DVD or view it, but I found the rating on this site to be way out of line with other sites such as rotten tomatoes, etc. So you can't always go by the IMDb rating. Some movies that only get a 4 are terrific, and some that get 7 & 8, I am thinking WHAT? Just my review and don't take it personal other than someone else's opinion.
... View MoreTo begin with, there was too much hype for this movie, well at least in Lithuania, the country where this movie was first released it. A lot of lithuanians liked this movie, well because there were a lot of Lithuanias famous actors, 1 famous actor that was dead and this was hes last movie, then there were some lame scenes, jokes that lithuanians loved where a lot of swearing is included. Me, myself, I din't really liked this movie that much, but it wasn't too bad either, plus there was actor Vinnie Jones, that I love when I see acting in comedies, well, but not in this one. If there were no actors from abroad, then this movie would have an even lower rating. Overall score from me for this movie would be 5-6/10.
... View MoreGreetings from Lithuania."Redirected" (2014) is a fun crime comedy in style of Guy Richie movies. It has nice acting, good pacing, some bloody but not gory images, and some truly genuine and shocking images of Lithuania itself. Yes, there are a lot of people like this in this country, nevertheless, it just a movie. And on it own, this is a very nicely made crime comedy.Overall, "Redirected" will appeal more to Lithuanians because of some inside jokes about country. For example, there is a short image of two ambulance workers trying to rape a patient. Oddly enough, this one is taken from real case that appeared in this country. This is not brightest side of Lithuania, but sadly it's very true. And the movie itself is fun and expertly crafted. It's nothing very original mindblowingly good, but in Lithuanian movie making term, this one definitely stands out.
