Paul Blart: Mall Cop Trailers

Mild-mannered Paul Blart has always had huge dreams of becoming a State Trooper. Until then, he patrols the local mall as a security guard. With his closely cropped moustache, personal transporter and gung-ho attitude, only Blart seems to take his job seriously. All that changes when a team of thugs raids the mall and takes hostages. Untrained, unarmed and a super-size target, Blart has to become a real cop to save the day.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

If you ever need ideas on finding unfunny jokes or cringy moments, just pick this movie.Oh, by the way, it also includes nonsense about how it's legal to harass people, stalk them, not do your job and somehow not get fired, and other things.Sorry but I couldn't get past half an hour. I couldn't get over the fact that an attractive woman was interested in a complete and utter loser. Dragons, aliens, sure, whatever, I can accept magic wizzards, but any fictional story has its limits. A 10/10 girl will never date a 1/10 manchild.

This would have to be one of most un-comedic movies I've ever seen. Basically this is nothing more than an updated version of any Marx Bros movie, where you have a ridiculous premise full of equally ridiculous sight gags. Kevin James is Paul Blart, a shopping mall cop who rides a ridiculous Segway and who takes his job, or "shopper safety" as he calls it, a little too seriously. While his colleagues simply see it as a job where you punch in and punch out, (like all mall security guards do), Blart takes it up several notches to an area bordering on pointlessness where every random meaningless mall incident becomes a do or die mission. Naturally there's the usual ho-hum jokes-du-jour throughout; one where he pulls over an elderly man on one of those reprehensible mobility scooters for driving recklessly amongst shoppers. The man couldn't have cared less and drives off with Blart being dragged along the floor behind him. I'm not sure where the joke is, but it's supposed to be funny. Next he gets in a punch-up with 2 legged hippo in Victoria's Secret and she punches the stuffing out of him. If this were anywhere else but America I could see her probably getting away with it, but in a court-happy country like the U.S, I highly doubt it. Judge Judy would be all over it like flies on a turd. I don't remember too much after this as it was around this point that I started to really lose interest. I think there's some feeble attempt at a story when the mall is subject to a heist where they are after credit card codes or something, Paul Blart somehow manages to save the day, gets married and I'm counting the minutes of my life that have been lost forever. I was wondering when this was going to ever get funny and it simply never did. I get that comedy is subjective but normally you'd expect to find some semblance of comedy within a movie that's supposed to be funny, even if you as an individual don't happen to find everything funny. If you enjoy watching a bumbling fool getting himself into poorly scripted situations and unfunny situations, then you'll enjoy this. If you want to have a proper laugh, this movie is a waste of time.

The type of physical humor perpetuated by Kevin James is worth a few good chuckles, to be sure. The trouble, though, is that it is only good for "X" many jokes. For a basic plot summary, "Mall Cop" focuses on Paul Blart (James), an overweight mall "security officer" who continually fails to become a true gun-toting policeman. Just when his life seems to be at the lowest, however, he is thrust into a high-pressure hostage situation that tests his mettle. The first thirty or so minutes of this film are legitimately funny, watching Blart blunder through situation after situation. James is an accomplished physical comedian who knows exactly how to comically move his oversized body.Yet, the jokes stop being funny in the second half, when the film gets a little too repetitive. Those same "fat jokes" that worked so well in the opener are old hat once the climax approaches. Thus, this is a decent little family-friendly comedy. It isn't great, but you'll genuinely laugh on more than a few occasions.

When a shopping mall is taken over by a gang of organized crooks, it's up to a mild-mannered security guard to save the day. Paul Blart: Mall Cop is a film that it's clearly not for everyone it's humor it's not for everyone and Kevin James as an actor is not for everyone but to be honest i died laughing with this film Paul Blart is basically John McClain but he is much dumber and he is basically fat the film has a lot of adventure and action sequences if you can call them that it's for sure over the top but i was entertained a lot and that is what truly matters to me in the end. Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) gets an A+ what can i say? I liked it!!
