The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I'm writing this review with shear anger and disappointment! A movie if it was made in Hollywood, would be preserved and the script would be under the scrutiny of the best minds in prestigious universities! But the movie (The Masterpiece) is not getting the Reward And the award it deserves, not even from the natives! Getting to the story, it is not a story that could be translated into such a masterpiece by every Tom, Dick & Harry, Not only the story but the narration is path breaking to say the least! It is about how far one will go to suppress the animal instinct in him and how far a "Refurbished" human would go to remain human! this is the simple one liner and the rest you have to see to believe it! Out of the top 10 clichés (AB)used in Indian cinema flashback sequences takes the cake but in this masterpiece The Director MYSSKIN has given a fresh treatment to the flashback sequence making it effective and impact full! No words to describe the BGM of Ilayaraja and this soundtrack proves why he is the RAJA! A movie for all and a movie (masterpiece) that should be appreciated as well as endorsed by every sensible movie buff!

the name itself explains the story - "a wolf and a lamb". the movie too had the same order of appearances - first appears the wolf and then the lamb. i went ahead without even paying attention to online critics because of one name - mysskin. he is such a wonderful director and all his movies, especially - anjadhey and yudham sei has made me his movie lover and here he handled such a heavy script in a very edge of a seat thriller manner..the cinematography and music omg.!! Ilayaraja sir with his BGMs just makes you travel alongside the main characters of the movie. although the movie is set in dark, the cinematography is handled well.. the frame itself tells you million. and i ought to say i have never seen such a movie with such an epic flashback.!! first of its kind in Tamil cinema and thanks to the ACTOR mysskin for bringing that out.! and Sri proves once again that he is no lesser than any-others in acting for such a script..!! i am sad that the film didn't get a good opening due to production problem but it will surely reach great highs like Anbe Sivam.A must watch movie.! it has such a class in it. so the audience must have some in them too.!! 10 OUT OF 10. great work.!

Must watch Tamil film after long time. Hats off to Myshkin. The way he drove the story is excellent. Rather than commenting on whole movie he needs to be appreciated for each scenes he narrated. He did a great great job. Entire movie is awesome. i never got break even a single second.Highlights of the film:CBCID conversation with head of police and doctor (prof) during initial investigation.Unexpected way of Flash back narration.Raja sir music is a great plus to the film.Timing comedies in crucial scenes without humor dialog's. Location, Camera views, the way story moves are the unexpected keys to the film's success.
