What a waste of my time!!!
... View MoreAbsolutely the worst movie.
... View MoreAbsolutely Fantastic
... View MoreThere's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
... View MoreI think this is best movie I've ever watched from US NR categories. What makes me displease from this movie is that the actors are not played in other (great) movies especially the leading female actor. I've checked out her profile and see that she played only in 2 movies. What a sad career for a good talent. In Now & Later she played all dialogues and acts superbly, makes me real diving into the story and putting aside frontal nudity scenes. Like Avanti!, I put this movie in my special folder in my external HD drive where anybody won't fine Shakespeare in Love in it. Absolutely great!
... View MoreI could analyze this film as a critique of the American Dream and a very good one it is.I could also point out the mass of very good social commentary and analysis of modern Western ethics. And I'm sure the prudes will be put off by the very intimate sex scenes while the pervy types will be distracted from the story by them. So I could implore you not to let this happen and, instead, just allow these scenes to draw you into a feeling of intimacy with the characters.I could also go on about how much the two lead actors must have put into this to bring their characters to life so vividly. But instead I'll just say "Enjoy what is a very beautiful film on several levels".btw I reserve 10 points for really, REALLY excellent films that stand out well above others. Otherwise I would have given this 10.
... View MoreThis movie is a left wing anti-US Marxist diatribe that tries to infuse interest by interspersing sex scenes throughout an otherwise boring script. The male lead is wooden at best. The female lead is better, but it's because she's the one with a megaphone at the political rally and actually has something to say (regardless of whether you agree with her). The poor guy is just another audience member in this movie. Nothing is believable about the backgrounds of the characters, particularly the female. She appears to be living in a life of destitution and at the same time doesn't really seem to be lacking anything (especially booze). Despite living in squalor in her native land, she's somehow managed to get a degree. The US is a terrible place? Fine. Go back to where you came from (illegally) and quit wasting our time with this drivel.
... View MoreI saw this movie at a film festival in L.A. in a packed theater and I can definitely say that it captured everyone's attention. What really struck me was that once the movie had ended and everyone had exited the theater, it seemed like it took people a few minutes to face each other out in the light realizing that they had just spent the last hour and a half in a dark room with a lot of strangers watching a lot of sex on the big screen and then . . . this frenzy just broke out and we were all talking about how hot the movie was and discussing (and a lot of people downright arguing) whether or not this has crossed the line with regard to what should be allowed on a movie screen. It was pretty fun to watch people get so charged up. It's not like this is the first time a film has pushed boundaries sexually (I'm thinking "9 Songs") but I'd say this one takes it to a new level. Instead of sex inter-cut with concert footage, though, this movie balances sex with cerebral dialog so it actually appeals to both the libido and the mind (that's not a combination I see very often). Great date movie for sure! Especially if you're dating somebody with a brain (although frankly, even if you're not, I think they'll be . . . how should I put it . . . "inspired" by this one). All in all, this is a passionate movie about life and the state of the world in which we live. Pretty timely, actually. It's worth seeing with a date and then going to dinner afterward for some heated discussion – guaranteed! Or . . . just skipping dinner altogether. Check it out if you can.
