Malibu Shark Attack Trailers

An underwater earthquake generates a tsunami that strikes Malibu, bringing a hunting pack of prehistoric-looking goblin sharks to the surface. Although the beach is evacuated before the big wave strikes, a group of lifeguards and a crew of construction workers are stranded in the high water and have to fight the sharks to get to dry land.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Ive seen this flick a few times now ,on a rainy afternoon when its all thats left to watch and believe me if you want cheese this has the lot,ok its watchable but they have tried to make it into a serious movie and its a joke ,.the beach is basically hit by a massive 100ft tsunami but yet still it doesnt manage to break the venetian blind slats in there lifeguards hut,i imagine there were about 20 people outside throwing buckets of water in the window it was sad .of course this brings with it a plague of goblin sharks who go on a killing spree.enter more cheese and a screaming chick who scratches her leg and carries on screaming at every opportunity she can.in fact to top this all of the main bloke is annoying and you just wanna punch him in his mouth.so there ,its bad ,and as usual with every b movie theres music constantly drownin out the speech ,why do they do that ???overacting ,terrible acting ,but funny trash.

RELEASED TO TV IN 2017 and directed by David Lister, "Malibu Shark Attack" chronicles events in Malibu, California, after an undersea earthquake releases several prehistoric goblin sharks to attack the beaches, which is made worse by another quake that unleashes a Tsunami, trapping the protagonists in a lifeguard station surrounded by sea.Peta Wilson stands out as the seasoned lifeguard involved in a love triangle with two rival men (Warren Christie & Jeff Gannon). Chelan Simmons plays a superficial, whiney beach girl while Remi Broadway appears as the lifeguard she tries to charm. Nicholas Cooper & Sonya Salomaa are on hand as a couple ready to marry. This is a decent TV-budgeted nature-runs-amok flick with a serious tone and a kinetic first act. The story morphs into a suspenseful confined environment movie in the second act whereupon the main cast is stuck in the lifeguard shack staving off the sharks. The closing act shifts to a reasonably well-done showdown in a flooded basement. The prehistoric goblin sharks are interesting, albeit cartoony CGI, and present a formidable antagonist.THE MOVIE RUNS about 88 minutes and was shot in Gold Coast & Brisbane, Australia, with establishing shots of Malibu. Writer: Keith Shaw (as Lindsay James).GRADE: B-

I totally blame the SyFy channel (where I watched this wonderful cinematic masterpiece this afternoon....after 3 others that numbed my brain....) 'Shark Week' doesn't even start for a couple more weeks, and they already have me hooked! Let's be real: as a movie, this one SUCKS. But pop some popcorn, pick up some (really strong) adult beverages, and just enjoy the train wreck that is "Malibu Shark Attack".SPOILER ALERT: not sure why it took 1/2-hour for the tsunami to (finally) hit...(and did not appreciate the 'newscaster's comparison to the REAL tsunami that hit Indonesia in 2004). But the horribly-fake computer-generated tsunami appears well after the horribly-fake computer-generated "sharks". The heroes, stuck in one hell of a sturdy lifeguard shack, make you root for the sharks -- from the bleach-blonde teen bimbo to the newly-engaged couple who have NO chemistry. At all. Horribly fake CPR...horribly fake "stitches".... They even use horribly fake "Jaws"-esque music. AND I COULDN'T TURN THE STUPID MOVIE OFF.

SyFy Channel presents a hapless shark flick with some actual moments of gore(not enough). An underwater earthquake causes a badly animated tsunami to roar into Malibu beach with rare prehistoric goblin shark hungry for anything moving. Don't take the people to the sharks, but bring the sharks to the people. Buff and tanned surfers and swimmers are appetite pleasing; but then construction workers also give CGI sharp teeth monsters something to chomp on. Jaggedly torn missing limbs and bloody beaches go along with the typical fright and mayhem of a shark attack. Peta Wilson is part of a no frills cast featuring: Jeff Gannon, Sonya Salomaa, Mungo McKay, Evert McQueen and Renee Brown.
