Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

Our reviewers, Les Roberts and Ann Elder, believe that the cute story line makes for a nice, fluffy Romantic Comedy. However, they had mixed opinions about the casting. Amanda Seyfried's disappointing performance nearly ruined the film for them, and they believe she lacks the acting talent to play an ordinary person. However, Franco Nero and Vanessa Redgraves' performances blew them away. It was heartfelt beyond most on-screen performances, because it was filmed shortly after they reunited in romance off-screen. These seasoned actors help to move along and hold together the story, even though Seyfried struggled in the lead role. This was a pretty good romantic movie with nothing new in terms of formula and plot...but it's still enjoyable, especially with Amanda Seyfried in the lead and a good cast to back her up. This follow Seyfried as she's a writer/journalist who travels to Italy to meet her fiancé and follow up on some stories about letters to Juliet that were supposed to have been written. (Yes, the Juliet from the Shakespeare play.) She finds the letter, including one that's 50 years old, and it upsets a man from London that she meets. This is a good romance that pleases from start to finish with good shots of the Italian countryside and good characters. I liked it and you will too.** 1/2 out of ****

From the whole story, I do believe that total care would melt a closed-heart. It does affect me that whatever I believe for love reason, it will results as beautiful as I deserved. Also, if we ever heard that "Walls are listening, while wind do the speaking," quote, than talking about love isn't stuck only in our mind. Our environment also 'support' us in other way. Like Juliet Wall in Vienna, for me personal, it isn't just myth or folk-tale. It is a good media to share feelings (and I know that Juliet Secretary said they're really replying the letter, they mentioned me on a social media), but at the end, true love exist, and if we deserve true love, we are having it on the bottom of our heart.

This was a really good story, with the added attraction of Vanessa Redgrave and her now-after-a-long-wait husband Franco Nero (Okay, I cheated, Wikipedia), but all the others are so drippy. It could have been a whole lot funnier and snappier. The book was written in 2006, and the movie came out in 2010. Don't these people use the internet?! I'm assuming that is how they found all those Lorenzos, but Sophie only had her laptop open once. Besides the awkward technical details, there is little chemistry between Sophie and Charlie, although we know from the beginning that they will get together. One hates to blame the director, as he died not long afterwards at the tragically young age of 49, but it just doesn't hang together as well as it could have. Makes me want to read the non-fiction book. And watch Redgrave and Nero in Camelot again...
