All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.

Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Warning: This is not a review of the movie, it's more like a complaint of just how bad Hollywood can pick it's actors.I really could have handled the mediocre CGI effects, the HIGHLY unrealistic plots. Really, it's almost expected in a disaster movie that something's bound to be off. I've never heard/seen any that have been perfect. But my dear god, what made me want to hit my head against a wall was Mark Moses's acting. I don't know if he took his role as a know-it-all science fiction author a little too far or something, but this was really the worst acting I've seen, hands down. *SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*When Charlie Price's (played by Mark Moses) daughter dies, he just stands there. No sign of the world crashing down on him. Nope, this dude just throws his jacket over her and proceeds to "comfort" his devastated love interest. Even Joane (Camille Sullivan) shows more grief for his daughter than he does. The only thing he does is cover his face, probably to hide his embarrassment at how bad he was acting. *END SPOILER*END SPOILER*Like a fellow reviewer m-qasimraza said, I also went on here just to write this, going through the trouble of finding out my lost password just to log into IMDb. The movie could have easily been OK, no other worries/complaints than what other disaster movies do, but this guy just topped it.Honestly, the movie is watchable. Just slap your hand over Mark Moses's face on the screen and mute the sound every time he appears and you'll be good to go. I really hope, for the sake of all the TV shows he's apparently made an appearance on, that he'll improve his acting skills. *SPOILER* Oh, and pretend you believe that satellites up in space can be hacked and controlled into heating up the Earth in a matter of hours. *END SPOILER*POST-NOTE: Ryan Kennedy's acting was a temporary relief from Moses. He was good. Seriously, I don't know how he managed it when his character was doing pretty crazy, unrealistic stuff, but props for achieving that.

Worth A Watch!! This film does not fail to deliver, with action from the word go. I watched and was gripped the whole way through. Wondering what was going to happen next. Yes some parts were predictable, but in today's film industry, what film isn't? I will watch this film again and again, there are some great one-liners. I think this is a film that you need to watch to make your own decision as it will probably not appeal to everybody. The effects in the film were fantastic and allow you to really get a feel for what is going on in the movie, without potentially over-dramatising the action. The actors done a great job of portraying the events at hand and kept the movie believable throughout. Personally I loved this film and would recommend it to anyone.

I was disappointed with the movie. There was just something missing that one can't really place their finger on. Was it just me or was there too much trite in the plot? Acting so-so. I couldn't figure out why the twisters froze everything in their paths: entire landscapes, buildings, trains, etc. but did not freeze the car that the heroes where in. They had the ability to just drive through the ice twisters. As the twisters approached the Big City, the cars in the streets did not appear to "notice" what was heading their way. Nothing was mentioned in the movie about the population of the city. Did the people just all disappear? Really weird. It is not a movie that I would go out and purchase.

I watched this apparently EXTREMELY low-budget movie based on one review i read on IMDb; i should have read more. It starts off a little abruptly but hey, some great movies do. but in its course it becomes a VERY bad mix of "The Day After Tomorrow" and the classic "Twister". Put those two movies together with really bad graphics and a beyond-amateurish cast and you've got Ice Twisters. whats more, they even chose the name "Jo" for the female lead (same as Helen Hunt in Twister). At times i couldn't believe how expressionless most of the actors were, especially when they were staring at a totally fake-looking ice-tornado coming their way. And in this one sequence with the fighter jets - the fireball that ensues? jeez, i could render the fire better.to sum it up, i registered with IMDb for the sole reason that is to warn people about this crap-fest of a movie. save your money and 1.5 hrs.. buy your girl some nice flowers instead.
