Surprisingly incoherent and boring

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

I think Chris Rock is perfectly cast as what's his name in this convincing take on the monotonously married modern man's mind. Try to say that six times fast. I think I love Chris in this, but C Rock seems to think that he's Omar Epps or Taye Diggs the way he's trying to act so suave and handsome-like at times. I think Chris' obviously a good looking guy, but I find his goofy-face acting way more appealing in this than his 'I think I'm Morris Chestnut' tendencies, but what do I know, I'm just attracted to women, like Kerry. I think Kerry Washington's the real treat in I Think I Love My Wife, no, I know she is. Kerry's so bad in her all black sexy white-trimmed underwear and heels, and so insanely hot, and beautiful. You look real good, Kerry, I think. I love Kerry. I'm jealous of Chris Rock. I think I Think I Love My Wife needs way more generous humor in its life and far less ungenerous drama. Where has the spark gone? I think if I was what's his name's wife, what's her name, played by the beautiful Gina Torres, I would tell this Nikki skeez to back up off my man! I think I'd cheat on Gina with Kerry if I was suffering from a dull marital love life with her, no, I know I would. Ladies, better get your men in check! What's his name did the right thing, I think.

Richard Cooper (Chris Rock) is a comfortable middle manager banker. But his marriage is running in problems. He doesn't have sex with his wife Brenda (Gina Torres) anymore, and they are fighting over it. Then a sexy past acquaintance Nikki (Kerry Washington) re-enters in his life and turns it upside down.I am a little shocked that the screenplay was written by Chris Rock, and Louis C.K. I didn't find any of it funny. It may have been too much for Chris Rock to write, direct, and star in this. First Chris Rock look horrible with the stache. The narration is annoying. But more importantly, the morality of this movie is too awkward. Chris and Louis are obviously trying to say something profound about marriage and life. It may have been a great 10 minute stand-up, but it doesn't make good rom-com. I won't spoil the ending, but it's less about love and more about fear.

To start off with I'd think I'd have to disagree with most of the public here, I think it deserved more around a 6.5 point average on IMDb. I'm a comedy lover, and so when I heard about this movie I had to watch it and it exceeded my expectations after the movies I've seen recently, it was a great movie, great but not there amongst the best nor deserving a spot in the Top 250. Basically what it boils down to in my opinion is that if you like comedy movies, movies with a moral, or movies involving relationships then i say go for this movie, or if your just bored and have time on your hands then this will be a good way to spend some of it.

This movie is totally sticking out of the genre. Probably the best appearance of Chris Rock I've seen so far. The story is well written, smart jokes are mastered into details, and the plot is developing fast enough to keep you entertained. Scenes and cast are very well chosen, it's a film of high quality standard. I honestly didn't expect that much of wise entertainment as it offers. And most of all, it feels genuine, not a kind of movie you've seen before and can totally predict. I think I love my wife is an outstanding title which I would recommend to any mature couples or singles. This film wouldn't bore or disappointed you.
