A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

The movie runs out of plot and jokes well before the end of a two-hour running time, long for a light comedy.

If you like anything from him, how do you not like everything from him? Sophomoric humor is what this guy does and this movie is no different. Why this guy is funny where others of his ilk are not I do not know. I couldn't stand him on SNL and had no interest in his movies until I was cajoled into seeing the second Austin Powers. Now, I consider some of his movies to be among my absolute favorites. Sure, some of the jokes in this are older than I am and I am slightly older than the moon landing but he sells them. This has outstanding eye candy, great tunes, an awesome cast AND ball gazing is no laughing matter, unless it happens to somebody else. The first two Powers flicks are better but this is outstanding, if you like childish humor. I can watch this every two years or so.

I don't write many reviews. Actually I haven't wrote any. But every once in awhile I like to read the 10/10 reviews of my favorite movies. This one makes me laugh because of its especially low rating. People just don't get it, and if they most likely wont get it!Its just such a lovely picture! Myers is the man to go back to the roots of childhood and simply bring back innocence. Which is all too often sadly left behind and we strive to get towards bigger and better things in life. Pretty parodoxial I know right? To just be silly, but to grow at the same time. Life is a beautiful flower. Life is a roller coaster. Life is fun. So laugh at things worth laughing at. Its the best joy in life!Don't take it so seriously! Cheers to our innocence!Sincerely, -Shawn

I don't understand why this has gotten such a bad rap! It's a classic light hearted Mike Myers film, with an easy to follow plot line that just makes me laugh. I especially like the 'Mariska Hargitay' joke, which is absolutely hilarious if you're a Law and Order fan like myself. There are a few very over the top films, but criticizing Mike Myers for being eccentric is like criticizing Quentin Tarantino for being overly dramatic. Though there are similarities between this film and the 'Austin Powers' series, there is enough individuality to create an overall well made film. Please watch this movie for yourself, don't base your opinion on it's poor reviews.

Having been in the self-help and spirituality movements for over 30 years I can say in all honesty that this is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.Kudo's to Deepak for providing so many clichés. Even more for being the brunt of so many jokes.Myers captures Deepaks voice to the tee.The message is to laugh at yourself while you are 'healing' your wounded inner child and believe you can be successful in spite of all the dysfunction inside and outside of yourself. It is so fast that you'll have to watch it a few times because three jokes have already gone by when you take the time to belly laugh. Mike is truly a comedic genius and a Canadian National Treasure.Allan Hunkin Worthiness.com :)
