Best movie of this year hands down!

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

HUMANITY'S END is one of those indie science fiction movies which blow their entire budget on CGI effects which are not bad when compared with those seen in lower-end scale produce such as the films made by The Asylum or the SyFy Channel. It's an outer space adventure in which the last human being in the universe is hunted down by an alien race. The CGI spaceships and the like aren't too bad at all, so it's a pity that there's no real story to go alongside them, just random dialogue and actors limited to their own small sets.

It's probably exactly what you expect..Rarely do films actually 'Surprise!' you these days...with all the hype given to any movie (regardless of how odd or bad) with a large budget, you get an idea of the movie...especially after a few reviews, what your friends say, and so on and so on....Well the same goes for these movies...the one's you 'Don't' hear about...You don't see the 'stars making the rounds on all thee late night talk shows, promoting their newest flick (& always pretending they have 'no-idea' what the clip is they brought with them)...So these films end up in the usual places...the bargain bins, the blockplaces will have a single copy (usually) and then there's Redbox...who unlike most places, let's you know upfront they have a mixture of the the best movies as they're released and tell you honestly that they have some genuine 'B'- movies...So, yeah, rent this one if you like sci-fi flicks, realizing it was done on a less than stellar budget and cut everyone involved with it some slack...The great thing about it is 'You might just find a real gem' among the 'B'-Movies available, but don't expect it...This has some good points and some low spots...But then again, keep in mind it had a 'B' budget too...

This is the latest straight-to-DVD sci-fi production in a sort of series. Not being familiar with Neil Johnson's work until now, I can't compare this with preceding films that take place in the same universe. I might be interested to hear from others who can, but I myself must review this as a standalone movie, and unfortunately, there isn't much to say in that regard. This is just a cheap-looking, amateurish, bad sci-fi movie.The IMDb Trivia section makes references to a relatively large budget for this film, compared to previous works by this filmmaker. All I can say to that is the previous films must have been pretty darn cheap to compete with this. The CGI bordered on acceptable, but shots incorporating real-world photography with CGI ("green-screen" shots) looked very obvious and ineffective. Space scenes were overdone with nauseating camera shakes and quick in-and-out zooms that left me reaching for the Pepto-Bismol.The acting was mediocre at best, and the writing was worse. Our hero is a wise-cracking third-rate Han Solo parody with love handles.You can smell all of this coming from the beginning, though. This film features a narrated prologue to catch you up on the history of Neil Johnson's fictional universe, which comprises the most gruelingly boring 6 minutes and 30 seconds you'll ever spend in front of a screen. Whenever you think it's over, it just keeps going, and manages to make 6 minutes feel like February in its entirety.

Not many known actors however their acting was better then most and they were actually funny in some scenes and the acting was believable, This actors could make better movies with a better budget. The movie itself was a nice spin on Erich Von Däniken ideas and they used all the latest scientific findings. I love documentary's about long dead people that's how I found out at first we had Neanderthal DNA, So we didn't kill them as was thought before, our genes did by crossbreeding. So they used all the latest facts, but I won't mention them because I don't want to spoil the movie. The movie itself wasn't more expensive then 2 Stargate episodes however I prefer some of the effects in this movie, not all just some, you understand when you see it.I was really expecting some crap but this was entertaining and I even shed a tear in the end, it was quite moving your not human if you can hold a straight face.I give it a 10 because a nine feels to little and I can't really complain about anything, if the actors were more famous and the movie were more expensive it could be a real Hit. It was something of a accident that I saw the movie but it was a really nice surprise, it saved my evening. A few laughable names but you can survive it. Give this movie a chance you'll be surprised.........It kind of feels like your watching a Stargate episode, however there are some different ideas and the Von Däniken spin also changes some.....
